It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of Rabbi Tzvi Tausky zt”l of Rechov Chazon Ish in Bnei Brak. He was 87 years old.
Rav Tzvi was born in Budapest, Hungary, a son of Rabbi Asher Tausky. At a young age, he was orphaned by his father and was left scarred by the fired of the Holocaust, which he survived, and he eventually went to Eretz Yisroel.
He became one of the prominent talmidim of Yeshivas Ponovezh in Bnei Brak, and was close to the Ponovezher Rov and the mashgiach, Rav Chatzkel Levenstein.
Rav Tzvi served as the director of Yeshivas Neve Eretz in Be’er Yaakov. He was a person of noble character and great chassodim, who drew hearts closer to the Ribono Shel Olam and was constantly engaged in endeavors of Torah and avodas Hashem.
He leaves behind his wife, children and grandchildren who continue in his path.
The levayah was held at his home at 27 Rechov Chazon Ish in Bnei Brak, followed by a levayah at the Shmagar Funeral Home in Yerushalayim and kevurah on Har Hazeisim.
