Today, Rav Boruch Mordechai Ezrachi, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Ateres Yisroel in Modiin Illit and member of Degel’s Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah, underwent a crucial cervical vertebrae surgery at Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center.
Prior to the surgical procedure on his spine, the rosh yeshiva received a comprehensive explanation of the intricate details from both the medical team and his family.
In response to their explanations, Rav Ezrachi offered some insight, expressing his unwavering faith in Hakadosh Boruch Hu. He remarked, “You must know that the One who directs the world and heals the sick is only the Master of the World, and He and only He can heal. And we must believe that everything Hakadosh Boruch Hu does is only for the good.”
Rav Ezrachi further conveyed his wishes to the attending doctors. He requested that they recognize that their medical expertise is merely an extension of the divine will, emphasizing, “There is no one but Him, and they are only messengers of Hakadosh Boruch Hu…”
The delicate and intricate surgery was skillfully performed by Dr. Josh Schroeder, a specialist in spinal surgery at Hadassah Medical Center. Assisting him were Dr. Leon, who heads Hadassah’s spinal surgery unit, and the director of anesthesiology, Dr. Stephane Ladot.
Providing an update on the rosh yeshiva‘s condition post-surgery, Dr. Schroeder delivered promising news, announcing the successful completion of the procedure and the stable state of the rosh yeshiva. He also emphasized the significance of the upcoming days, as they will be vital for continued physical therapy and rehabilitation, ensuring Rav Ezrachi’s optimal recovery and well-being.
