Lakewood bnei Torah are excited to announce an eye-opening roster of in-depth shiurim on the topic of Kashrus in the Dairy Industry in anticipation of Shavuos, delivered by the top talmdiei chachamim who are experts in the field. The evening will take place on Monday May 20/15 Iyar at 7:30 p.m. at the yeshiva, on 120 Second Street.
Rav Mordechai Gross shlita, the Gaavad of the Chanichei Hayeshivos community in Bnei Brak and head of the Badatz Vaadas Mehadrin, will deliver a shiur in Yiddish on issues relevant to dairy production, including enzymes, growth mediums and automation. Rabbi Gross has over 20 years of experience in kashrus supervision, and as a close talmid of the posek hador, Rav Yosef Shalom Elyashiv ztz”l, is intimately familiar with the halachos related to kashrus in today’s high-tech food industries.
In addition, Rabbi Yehoshua Horwitz shlita, Rav of the Belzer beis medrash in Bnei Brak and a member of the Badatz Vaadas Mehadrin, will give a shiur in English on kashrus strategies in modern dairy facilities; and Rabbi Menachem Genack, rabbinic administrator of the OU’s Kashrus Division, will give a shiur in English on bishul and hana’ah relating to basar b’chalav derabbanan.
