It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of Rebbetzin Malky Fensterheim a”h.
Rebbetzin Fensterheim was the wife of Rav Yaakov Fensterheim, longtime beloved R”M at Yeshiva Bais Moshe of Scranton , Pennsylvania. Rav Yaakov, a talmid of Rav Aharon Kotler zt”l, has been marbitz Torah for many decades, and Rebbetzin Fensterheim enabled her husband to spend his days learning and teaching Torah.
Rebbetzin Fensterheim was a much admired and loved member of the close-knit Scranton community. Even after a number of local senior rabbeim moved out of Scranton to Lakewood, the Fensterheims stayed in Scranton, with Rav Fensterheim learning with the local yungeleit.
Rebbetzin Fensterheim’s father was a son of the famed Mirrer mashgiach, Rav Yeruchem Levovitz zt”l.
Rebbetzin Fensterheim is survived by her husband, Rav Yaakov, and children and grandchildren following in her ways.
The levayah is being held now at the Congregation Sons of Israel Holocaust Memorial Chapel on Ramsey Avenue in Lakewood, NJ, and kevurah will then take place at the adjacent Mt. Sinai Bais Hachaim in Lakewood.
Yehi zichrah boruch.
