US retail behemoth Walmart seems to have taken down two T-shirts it was selling online that carried images of slain Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.
The items were highlighted by the US-based group Antisemitism.org, describing the clothing as “outrageous.”
One design featured Sinwar’s portrait, with his name split into “Sin” and “war,” while another displayed a manipulated sketch of the terrorist ringleader wielding a firearm in combat attire.
Another T-shirt, depicting a low-quality photo of former Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, is still up for sale on the Walmart website, although it won’t arrive in time for Christmas and is only offered in XXL, for, as the listing says, “your bigger terror supporters.” The product, posted by a Texas-based seller, is labeled “Nasrallah Safe Following Israeli Airstrikes,” a wholly inaccurate statement regarding the Iran-backed terror figure, who is deceased after an October 27 bombing.
Major online markets like Amazon and Ebay have likewise encountered difficulties previously due to dubious items from independent sellers, including goods presumably generated by scraping arbitrary images off the internet.
