A young child, estimated to be around 5 to 6 years old, remains in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle on New County Road near Route 59 in Airmont on Wednesday afternoon. Rockland Hatzoloh paramedics rushed to the scene and transported the child in traumatic arrest to Good Samaritan Hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, doctors are working to stabilize him enough to allow for an air transport to Westchester Medical Center for advanced treatment.
