The White House has acknowledged that a reporter was added to a text chain where discussions about military actions in Yemen were taking place, involving US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and other officials.
“We are reviewing how an inadvertent number was added to the chain,” Brian Hughes, a spokesperson for the National Security Council, stated.
In an article for The Atlantic, editor Jeffrey Goldberg revealed, “US national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.”
