Palestinian security forces posted to areas B and C of the West Bank on Thursday retreated into the Palestinian-controlled Area A, Haaretz reported.
The move reflects the Palestinian Authority’s decision to halt the security coordination with Israel over Israeli plans to formally extend its sovereignty over Area C.
Area A refers to parts of the West Bank placed under Palestinian security and administrative control under the Oslo Accords, whereas Area B designates territories under mixed Israeli and Palestinian security control. Area C, which represents some 60% of the West Bank, is under full Israeli control.

I am immensely proud to share this album with you. I have poured my heart and soul into these songs and I hope it comes through. Two of the songs are my own compositions; Yehi Ratzon, and Lord Hear My Prayer. The other eight are covers of popular kumzitz songs that I love to sing at the events that I perform at.
I’d like to thank Doni Gross for making this album exactly how I envisioned it; simple and elegant, and at times touching, and raw. Doni knew exactly how to shape the music to my preferences.
Thank you Shani Levin for your amazing artwork, your professional graphics have completed the album.

02 NAFSHI – ISHAY RIBO

After researchers at Columbia University this week estimated about 36,000 lives in the United States could have been saved from the novel coronavirus had social distancing and other restrictions been put in place a week earlier in March, the White House on Thursday pointed a finger at China, and the president called it a “political hit job.”
Disease modelers at Columbia University said in a study released Wednesday that 61.6% of deaths and 55% of infections nationwide could have been avoided if preventative measures in place on March 15 had been enacted a week earlier. That equates to about 35,927 deaths and 703,975 cases.

Can you imagine that just 141 days ago we came together in MetLife Stadium with nearly 100,000 fellow yidden, with no distancing, no masks, no gloves, (well ok, maybe some winter gloves) and we joined as one, united, in celebration of Torah?
Wouldn’t you just love to relive that moment now?
Well, not only can you, but you can help others relive it too! How?
Send us your pictures, screenshots, and videos clips of you and your family learning Torah during lockdown, whether you, your father, brother, or Zeidy learning on Zoom or on the phone, tablet or computer and have them air on the feature video presentation of V’Nismach – ‘Learning During Lockdown’.

The European Union has come under fire by the government of Israel, Jewish advocacy groups, and members of the European parliament for a letter issued by the senior E.U. diplomat overseeing the disputed territories.
These groups are concerned that the letter allows for Palestinian NGOs to receive E.U. funding even if they employ individuals affiliated with E.U.-designated terrorist groups.
Daniel Schwammenthal, director of the Brussels-based American Jewish Committee’s Transatlantic Institute, is leading an effort to confront the European Union about the matter.

Hungary and Austria on Wednesday warned their counterparts in the European Union against endorsing a double standard against Israel with regard to E.U. resolutions.

The Saudi Kingdom is edging nearer to completion of its first nuclear reactor, raising concerns among international authorities and agencies, Bloomberg reported on Thursday.
New satellite images from Plant Labs show that the Saudis have almost completed the construction of a roof on top of the nuclear facility, when only in March, the structure was still visible through roof beams.
In 2018, a red flag was raised within the nuclear watchdog community after Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman said that if Tehran develops a bomb, so would the kingdom — despite earlier vows to align the Saudi nuclear program to peaceful purposes only.

Researchers who examined the lungs of patients killed by covid-19 found evidence that it attacks the lining of blood vessels there, a critical difference from the lungs of people who died of the flu, according to a report published Thursday in the New England Journal of Medicine.
Critical parts of the lungs of patients infected by the novel coronavirus also suffered many microscopic blood clots and appeared to respond to the attack by growing tiny new blood vessels, the researchers reported.
The observations in a small number of autopsied lungs buttress reports from physicians treating covid-19 patients. Doctors have described widespread damage to blood vessels and the presence of blood clots that would not be expected in a respiratory disease.
