Sen. Cory Booker on Wednesday called for Congress to launch impeachment proceedings against Donald Trump, becoming the latest 2020 Democratic White House contender to endorse the president’s removal from office.
Booker, of New Jersey, had previously demanded further probes by lawmakers into Trump’s conduct and Russian interference in the 2016 election, pressing for members of Congress to receive special counsel Robert Mueller’s underlying investigatory materials and public testimony.

The IDF has located the largest known tunnel ever dug by the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah into Israeli territory, it was announced on Wednesday.
The Hebrew news site Mako reported that the tunnel was of massive size — 80 meters (262 feet) deep and 77 meters (253 feet) long. It originated in the village of Ramyeh in southern Lebanon and was apparently planned to end between the Israeli towns of Shtula and Zar’it in northern Israel.

The world’s smallest surviving baby has been released from a hospital in San Diego, about five months after being born prematurely, officials announced Wednesday.
The baby girl, named Saybie, weighed just 8.6 ounces, or 245 grams — roughly the size of an apple — at the time of her birth at Sharp Mary Birch Hospital in San Diego.
Her mother, who has chosen to stay anonymous, said she went to the hospital after experiencing severe complications during pregnancy. Saybie was born at 23 weeks and three days, making her a micro preemie, according to hospital officials.
After her birth, the newborn was stabilized by the hospital’s life support team before she was transferred to the neonatal intensive care unit.

Prime Minister Netanyahu responded to the approval of the law to dissolve the 21st Knesset, a month after it was sworn in.
“The Israeli public made a clear and unequivocal decision: That I would be prime minister and that the Likud would lead a right-wing government. The public chose me to lead the State of Israel. The various parties that ran for Knesset, many of them said they would support me. 60 out of the 65 mandates granted to the right did what they undertook upon themselves to do. One party did the exact opposite. Avigdor Liberman misled his voters. From the get go, he had no intention of joining the government,” said Netanyahu.

MKs vote by 74 to 45 in favor of the second reading of the bill to dissolve the Knesset and set new elections after Prime Minister Netanyahu failed to secure a coalition.
The third and final reading is taking place now.The Knesset Dispersion Law was approved by a majority of 74 to 45.
MK Roy Folkman (Kulanu) was absent from the plenum during the vote.

Israel is officially heading back to the polling stations after Prime Minister Netanyahu failed to create a majority coalition.

The Degel Hatorah faction within Yahadut Hatorah reportedly agrees to the compromise deal over the conscription bill whereby Avigdor Liberman’s proposal is approved in the first reading and then only in its final votes “in agreement with all the coalition parties.”
Degel Hatorah is teamed up with Shas in supporting the deal, which would’ve helped avoid new elections. Even without the four seats of Agudas Yisroel, there would  beenough to create a 61 seat majority.
Unfortunately its a case of too little too late as the Knesset is currently voting to dissolve and call for new elections.

MKs have begun voting on the bill to dissolve the Knesset and set new elections for September 17 after Prime Minister Netanyahu fails to secure a majority of 61 Knesset members.
Avigdor Leiberman, who refused to join Bibi’s coalition declared: “To my sorrow, the state of Israel is going to elections.”
Leiberman defended his position to reporters, saying his refusal to compromise is because of the “complete surrender of the Likud to the charedim.”
“We are natural partners in a right wing government; we won’t be partners in a halachic government,” he says.
