Israel has maintained a secret diplomatic office in Bahrain for 11 years through a front company disguised as a commercial consulting firm, Walla News reported on Wednesday night. The report revealed the covert diplomacy between Israel and Bahrain which was only revealed during the Abraham Accords in Washington last month and finalized this week. The existence of the diplomatic mission in Bahrain was under an Israeli military gag order for 11 years. Following the signing on Sunday in Manama of a joint communiqué establishing official diplomatic ties, an Israeli official submitted an official letter to the Bahraini Foreign Minister official requesting a “genuine embassy” in Manama.

For the second time in two months, a panel of federal judges on Thursday blocked President Donald Trump’s effort to exclude people in the U.S. illegally from being counted during the process of divvying up congressional seats by state. The decision from a panel of three district judges in California went further than last month’s ruling by a panel of three federal judges in New York by saying that Trump’s order in July not only was unlawful but also violated the constitution. The New York judges ignored the question of the order’s constitutionality and just said it was unlawful. “The policy which the Presidential Memorandum attempts to enact has already been rejected by the Constitution, the applicable statutes, and 230 years of history,” the judges in California wrote.

Palestinian official Saeb Erekat, who is being treated at Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center in Jerusalem for COVID-19, underwent a bronchoscopy on Wednesday to examine the condition of his respiratory system, his daughter said. One person was killed and five others were injured when gunmen fired out of a car in Brooklyn, police said. The shooting happened shortly before 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police said at least two shooters fired out of a white sedan into a crowd that had gathered on a street corner in the Prospect Lefferts Garden neighborhood. A 23-year-old man was shot in the chest and was pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital. His name was not immediately released. Israel and Bahrain signed a deal for regular passenger flights between their countries, Israeli media reported on Thursday. The agreement follows the finalization of official ties between the two countries at a ceremony in Manama on Sunday. The deal allows for up to 14 passenger flights a week between Ben Gurion Airport and Bahrain International Airport in Manama as well as unlimited flights between Ramon Airport near Eilat and Manama, and five cargo flights a week. Flights are expected to begin next week. “We are making history,” Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu stated. “Each day brings a new breakthrough.

On Thursday night, in an effort to curtail interruptions, Trump and Biden will each have his microphone cut off while his rival delivers an opening two-minute answer to each of the six debate topics, the commission announced. A Yeshiva Bochur is in critical condition after he was struck by a vehicle in Monsey, Thursday night. Rockland Hatzolah was on the scene at around 7:30PM, on Collage Road near Dolson.
