On Tuesday evening, after the party lists were submitted to the Central Elections Committee, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu told Defense Minister Naftali Bennett that if he runs on a separate list without bringing full unity to the Right-Wing parties of the New Right, National Union, Jewish Home, and Otzma Yehudit, then there is a reasonable chance that he will not be able to continue as Defense Minister. The threat was reported by  Channel 12 News. According to the report, there was some misunderstanding between the Netanyahu and Bennett according to sources close to both, whereas Bennett felt that this was a direct threat addressed to him, sources close to the Prime Minister said that it was not a threat but rather a situation analysis.

The two people who fatally shot a police officer then killed three people at a kosher grocery in Jersey City planned an assault for some time and were equipped to cause greater destruction, authorities said Monday. State and federal law enforcement officials revealed details about the months leading up to the shootings by David Anderson and Francine Graham, a couple who expressed hatred of Jews and law enforcement in notes left at the grocery shooting scene and in online posts. “This was a senseless and cowardly act,” U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito said. President Donald Trump will be holding a rally in Iowa just days before the state holds its election kickoff caucuses. A text message that referred to Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren as “Pocahontas” that was sent through rival Bernie Sanders’ volunteer messaging system led to social media feuding and confusion among supporters of both candidates. It turns out the text message came from a rogue Sanders campaign volunteer believed to be a supporter of President Donald Trump, the campaign told The Associated Press. The individual was removed from the system. But the image of it, posted to Twitter on Monday by a pro-Warren fundraising group, led to misinformation and increased tension among Warren and Sanders supporters.

Gov. Greg Abbott on Monday gave Texas’ highest civilian honor to a 71-year-old man who shot and killed an armed attacker at a church in December. Abbott gave Jack Wilson the Governor’s Medal of Courage during a ceremony in Austin, calling him a hero for stopping the shooter at a church in the Fort Worth-area town of White Settlement. Wilson, a firearms instructor who trained the West Freeway Church volunteer security team, shot the attacker once in the head after he opened fire with a shotgun in the church’s sanctuary. Wilson’s single shot quickly ended the attack in which two parishioners, 64-year-old Anton “Tony” Wallace and 67-year-old Richard White, were killed. “When events arise, you’re going to do one of two things.

16 families whose residence in on 2 Ha’Atzmaut Street in Bat Yam received an eviction notice on Tuesday evening alerting them that the building is unsafe and that they need to evacuate as the building is in danger of collapse. According to Bat Yam City Hall, the construction project next door exceeded their permits and dug in areas that now pose a significant threat to the apartment complex. While the residents were looking for other housing options, the contractor from the new project, Victor Bobliel, came to the building that his project endangered and got into a fight with a number of the residents and city officials that were there. Bobliel claimed that the building would not collapse.

A U.S. cybersecurity company says Russian military agents have successfully hacked the Ukrainian gas company at the center of the scandal that led to President Donald Trump’s impeachment. Russian agents launched a phishing campaign in early November to steal the login credentials of employees of Burisma Holdings, the gas company, according to Area 1 Security, a Silicon Valley company that specializes in email security. Hunter Biden, son of former U.S. vice president and Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden, previously served on Burisma’s board. It was not clear what the hackers were looking for or may have obtained, said Area 1′s CEO, Oren Falkowitz, who called the findings “incontrovertible” and posted an eight-page report.

The Northern New Jersey Holocaust Memorial & Education Center launched the first phase of its centerpiece campaign at a gathering of nearly 200 residents, civic, religious and political leaders. Jason Greenblatt of Teaneck, a former assistant to the president and White House Special Envoy was the keynote speaker. Greenblatt spoke about his experiences in the White House, efforts to bring about peace between Israel and its Arab neighbors, and the recent wave of anti-Semitic attacks. “These evil haters are demonizing Jews and are demonizing Israel, and let’s make no mistake: anti-Israel, whether in the form of BDS or any other attacks against Israel, is anti-Semitism,” Greenblatt said.

Syria is blaming Israel for an an attack on its T-4 base Tuesday night. As usual, the SANA News Agency is reporting that Syrian air defenses intercepted the strike which they are blaming on Israel The official quoted by the state news agency SANA said the attack targeted the T-4 air base in Homs province shortly after 10 p.m. local time. The official said the attack only caused material damage to the base, saying most rockets were intercepted while only four landed in the targeted area. Some reports state the attack was carried out by warplanes that fired a barrage of missiles at the base, while other reports state it was carried out by drones and missiles.
