Mosab Hassan Yousef, also known as the Son Of Hamas [the name of the book he authored], the son of Hamas co-founder Sheikh Hassan Yousef, left Hamas in the late 90s and became a spy for Israel’s Shin Bet, working with them for ten years to stop suicide attacks. In an interview with Tzvi Yechezkeli,  the Arab affairs commentator for i24NEWS, Yousef asserted that the majority of “innocent” Gazan civilians, if not everybody, is complicit in Hamas’s crimes. “If not for the hostages, if I had the power, I would wipe Gaza off the map,” he said. He added: “My gut feeling is that the war is far from over. This is a long war.

In the chaos of dawn on October 7, 2023, as Hamas terrorists stormed Israel’s southern border, one battle stood out as the most devastating: the fall of Nachal Oz. A newly released IDF investigation has revealed shocking details about the attack that saw the strategic military outpost overrun in just under two hours—an event now deemed “the biggest failure” of that day. The findings, made public Monday night, expose a tragic mix of intelligence failures, financial constraints, and tactical misjudgments, all of which left the base woefully unprepared for an attack of this magnitude. But amid the horror, the report also details extraordinary acts of heroism, as outgunned and outnumbered Israeli soldiers fought to defend their post.

Seven senior Russian missile specialists visited Iran over the past year amid deepened defense ties between the two countries at the height of tensions between Israel and the Islamic Republic, Reuters reported. According to the report, Russian missile specialists flew from Moscow to Tehran on two flights on April 24 and September 17 last year. As YWN readers are aware, Iran carried out direct strikes on Israel on April 13, 2024, and October 1, 2024, meaning that the Russian experts’ visits were made 10 days after Iran’s first attack on Israel and two weeks before the second attack.

The Biden administration buddied up with Iran and gave over a billion dollars to terror-supporting entities such as the Palestinian Authority and the UNWRA, and at the same time, since Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu re-entered office in  December 2022, snubbed democratically elected senior Israeli politicians and even considered sanctioning them. One of those officials was Finance Minister Betzalel Smotrich, who also serves as a Minister in the Defense Ministry. Despite his status as a senior and influential member of the government of one of the US’s closest allies, Biden administration officials refused to meet with him.

Nine months have passed since Thomas Matthew Crooks, a seemingly ordinary 20-year-old, fired eight shots at then-presidential candidate Donald Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. And yet, despite federal investigations, private probes, and endless speculation, one glaring question remains unanswered: Why? Those searching for clarity have been met with silence—or worse, obstruction. The FBI, according to sources, has blocked efforts to uncover the shooter’s motives, leaving local authorities, former classmates, and the broader public frustrated. Crooks left no manifesto, no clear warning signs, no explanation for why he climbed onto a rooftop and attempted to assassinate a former—and now current—president. Even Crooks’ family has sealed itself off from the world.

A Monsey woman was moments away from losing $20,000 to a scam when Chaverim of Rockland intervened just in time, preventing the fraud and saving her from financial loss. The woman had received a call from someone claiming to be a U.S. Customs detective, falsely accusing her of sending an Amazon package containing drugs. The scammer pressured her to withdraw $20,000, warning that she would be arrested if she didn’t comply. Believing the threat to be real, the terrified woman withdrew the money. Fortunately, her husband, suspecting something was wrong, quickly contacted Chaverim of Rockland for help. Volunteers immediately responded to the M&T Bank in Monsey, intercepting the woman before she could hand over the cash to the scammers.

In a striking shift from his long-standing reputation as a vocal vaccine skeptic, U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is urging Americans to get vaccinated against measles as a severe outbreak spreads across Texas. In an opinion piece published on Fox News, Kennedy, once one of the nation’s most prominent anti-vaccine figures, warned of the dangers posed by measles and emphasized the importance of immunization in curbing the current outbreak. “The measles outbreak in Texas is a call to action for all of us to reaffirm our commitment to public health,” Kennedy wrote, citing 146 confirmed cases since late January, primarily in the South Plains region. The outbreak has already claimed the life of a school-aged child—the first measles-related fatality in the U.S.

Seven freed Israeli hostages flew to Washington on Monday ahead of a scheduled meeting with US President Donald Trump in Washington. As YWN reported, Eli Sharabi’s brother Sharon announced that his brother is flying to Washington to meet with Trump. Israeli media reports said on Monday that six other freed hostages joined Eli on the trip and will also meet with Trump: Omer Shem Tov, Yair Horn, Naama Levy, Doron Steinbrecher and Keith Siegel and his wife Aviva, who spent two months in captivity before being released in the November 2023 deal. The group was flown to Washington on the private plane of philanthropist Miriam Adelson, who arranged the visit. Adelson is one of Trump’s top donors and can be assumed to have considerable influence on his policies.

The latest findings from the Pew Research Center confirm what any Yid could see with his own eyes: American Jews are more exiled from Hashem than ever before. In 2014, already a distressing 45% of Jewish adults admitted they seldom or never daven. But now the number has climbed to 58%, a staggering decline in personal connection to Hashem. It gets worse. Fewer Jews in the U.S. even claim that religion is important in their lives. Jewish institutions—outside of the tzibbur of shomrei Torah u’mitzvos, of course—are in freefall, struggling to keep people engaged.Tthey talk about a “surge” in Jewish identity because of the horrors of October 7th, but their solution has not been to turn to teshuvah.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a statement today expressing gratitude to U.S. President Donald Trump for his steadfast support of Israel, hailing him as the country’s greatest ally ever to occupy the White House. The remarks come amid ongoing tensions in the Gaza Strip, where Israel has accepted a temporary ceasefire proposal brokered by Trump’s envoy, Steve Witkoff, while Hamas has so far rejected it. In his statement, Netanyahu highlighted Trump’s contributions to Israel’s security and regional strategy. “President Trump shows that friendship each and every day,” Netanyahu said, pointing to Trump’s “visionary plan for Gaza,” which Israel has fully endorsed. He also credited the U.S.
