The Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday ordered the release of two Arabs who were videoed beating up a Rav earlier this week. The judge claimed that there is no evidence that the attack was carried out for nationalistic motives and therefore the suspects cannot be held. His decision was made despite the widely known fact that the local Arabs are opposed to Jews moving into the area. Rosh Yeshivas Shiras Moshe Rav Eliyahu Mali and the yeshivah administrator were violently attacked by Arabs on their way to purchase an apartment for the yeshivah. Meanwhile, according to a Yediot Achranot report on the rash of “TikTok Terror” attacks on Chareidim, the majority of complaints regarding such cases are closed before they reach the court.

The Israeli military says that a missile was fired into Israel from neighboring Syria early Thursday, and that it has struck targets in Syria in response. Air raid sirens sounded in Dimona, home to Israel’s secretive nuclear reactor, indicating a possible incoming attack. Minutes later, social media lit up with residents from across Israel saying they heard loud explosions. Some reported that the explosions were so strong, they shook their houses. Sounds of explosions were reported near Jerusalem, Modiin, Rechovot, Kiryat Ono, Beersheba and more. The IDF later released a statement which said “A surface-to-air missile was fired from Syria to Israel’s southern Negev.

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called on lawmakers Tuesday to address the systemic cause of climate change as she reintroduced a resolution in support of a Green New Deal. “The climate crisis is a crisis born of injustice, and it is a crisis born of the pursuit of profit at any and all human and ecological cost,” the New York Democrat said at a press conference in front of the U.S. Capitol.

As reported by Chaim V’Chessed, on Thursday, April 15, authorities halted permission for students to enter Israel. The decision has caused even greater consternation for students who found themselves abroad at the time of the sudden announcement. Chaim V’Chessed has been contacted by students stuck in countries around the globe, who left Israel for short visits abroad in recent days, and who are now prevented from returning. These callers have included parents with small children back in Israel, husbands whose wives are in labor, and others with urgent need to return to Israel.

The last two coronavirus wards still open in Israel’s hospitals closed on Monday as infection and fatality rates continue to drop, Ynet reported. As the TikTok terror continues in Israel, an Arab teen published a video on his TikTok account of a virtual game involving the murder of Chareidim. The game is actually an old computer game, in which one of the characters was converted to appear like a Chareidi man, with a kippah, payos and a Chassidish vest. The game was uploaded to TikTok by a young Arab named Omar. Festive music plays in the background as the Chareidi passerby is shot to death in cold blood. It should be noted that the CEO of TikTok in Israel claimed in an official letter on Tuesday that all videos featuring violence against Chaeidim on the network have been removed and all accounts with inciteful content have been blocked. Dozens of police officers raided Mea Shearim overnight Monday at 3 a.m., with a list of ten wanted suspects at ten different addresses, for alleged offenses committed at violent protests against the Jerusalem light rail on Bar Ilan, including the destruction and damage of infrastructure. The police only managed to locate and arrest one of the suspects but meanwhile, scuffles ensued, with some residents attacking the police and the police throwing shock grenades to disperse the crowd. At the end of the raid, three of the police officers had been injured by objects hurled at them by the residents, and the windows of a police car were shattered.

Three Arab-Israelis were arrested on Monday afternoon for their alleged involvement in throwing a hot cup of coffee in the face of a Chareidi man at Sha’ar Shechem. Like the rash of recent Arab attacks on Jews, the act was videoed by the perpetrator’s friends and uploaded to TikTok. The two Arabs that videoed the incident were arrested at the scene and the third Arab fled the scene but was later arrested at his grandmother’s house in the Issawiya neighborhood of east Jerusalem. All three suspects are residents of Jerusalem’s Old City and two of them are minors. Below is a video summarizing some of the incidents uploaded to TikTok in recent days.
