The Biden administration demanded Israel halt its “chatter” about its role in the blast at the Natanz nuclear site last week, stating that it is detrimental and embarrassing to the Biden administration as it engages in ongoing talks with Iran to resume the nuclear deal, Channel 12 News reported on Friday. The message, described as “resolute,” was conveyed to Israel through “multiple channels,” the report said. Although Israel did not issue any official statements on the blast at Natanz, several senior Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi, alluded to Israel’s role in the incident.

The liberal CNN network spent years attacking former President Donald Trump and the network thrived during his final days in office amid a brief post-election spike. CNN averaged 2.2 million viewers during the first three weeks of 2021, but it has averaged just one million viewers since Biden took office, a staggering decline of 54 percent. CNN’s liberal primetime hosts Anderson Cooper, Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon haven’t been able to keep their audiences under the new administration, either. CNN averaged 3.1 million viewers from 8-11 p.m. from Dec. 28 through Inauguration Day but only 1.4 million since for a whopping 55-percent decline. Over the same time period, CNN’s primetime lineup lost 63 percent of its viewers among the crucial demo.

A gunman killed eight people and wounded several others before killing himself in a late-night shooting at a FedEx facility near the Indianapolis airport, police said, in the latest in a spate of mass shootings after a relative lull during the pandemic. Five people were hospitalized after the Thursday night shooting, according to police. One of them had critical injuries, police spokesperson Genae Cook said. Another two people were treated and released at the scene. FedEx said people who worked for the company were among the dead. A witness said that he was working inside the building when he heard several gunshots in rapid succession. “I see a man come out with a rifle in his hand and he starts firing and he starts yellin’ stuff that I could not understand,” Levi Miller told WTHR-TV.

The leader of Neturei Karta in the United States, Moshe Dov Ber Beck, died on Thursday night. He was 87. Beck was a fixture at every anti-Israel event in the Tri-State area for years, easily recognizable as he wore a Yerushalmi bekesha every day. There was no statement released by the terrorist regime in Iran where Beck was a welcomed figure among the highest levels of Government. Beck was born in Budapest, Hungary. His early childhood was spent hiding with his brother from Nazi persecution until 1945, when Soviet troops took Budapest. In 1948, he migrated to Bnei Brak, Israel, where he began yeshiva studies. In 1959, he married, and at that time joined Neturei Karta, leaving Vizhnitz of which he had formerly been a part.

A disturbing incident took place on Thursday morning in a shul that houses a kollel in South Africa when thieves ripped a tallis into strips to tie up the Rav and two avreichim, leaving them on the floor of the Ezras Nashim as they stole their belongings and ran off, B’Chadrei Chareidim reported. There were only three men left in the Kollel in Kehillas Shomrei Emunin in Johannesburg on Thursday morning when the armed thieves entered. After they tied up the men, they stole the men’s phones, the kollel’s laptops, and a car belonging to one of the avreichim. The building is guarded by a private security company whose guards regularly patrol the area but for some reason, the guards somehow missed the incident.

Chaim V’Chessed has learned that, effective immediately, entry permits to Israel will no longer be issued to student visa holders. This sudden decision by the Israeli authorities is due to the discovery of fraudulent activity involving entry permits. Several non-students have been caught in recent days entering Israel under the guise of students. Authorities have learned that unscrupulous individuals charged large sums of money for these illegitimate permits. An immediate ramification is that student visa holders currently in Israel are advised not to leave Israel at this point, if they desire to return to Israel in the near future. It is unknown how long the permit moratorium will last.

As is their annual “Minhag”, the Neturei Karta members living in Meah Shearim protested against the State of Israel on Thursday evening. The group of around 200 people, many of them identified as local misfits, consisted of half adults, and half children. Some were wearing sackcloth as they mourned the 73rd birthday of Israel. Most were holding black flags, while others held Palestinian flags. Some children held posters in Arabic, while others held signs in English. One man holding a bullhorn and leading the massive protest, chanted remarks which were followed by the usual “Gevald!” reponse from the crowd.
