A year and a half after the terrible disaster, Kan News revealed chilling recordings of the conversation between then-Northern District Commander Shimon Lavi and his senior officers during the unfolding of the disaster. In the exclusive recordings, Lavi is exposed to real-time reports from his officers stationed around Meron as the terrible disaster occurred. At first, Lavi and the senior officers are unaware of the dimensions of the disaster but little by little, they become aware of the scope of the horror at the site. > Command room: “We have a report from MDA about 15 deaths.” > Lavi: “Disregard the numbers.” The following conversation took place on the communication network of Lavi and his senior officers a few minutes after the deadly crush.

Anti-Defamation League CEO Jason Greenblatt didn’t take lightly to former President Donald Trump meeting with antisemitic rapper Kanye West and white supremacist Nick Fuentes at Mar-a-Lago. “For Donald Trump to dine with notorious white supremacists and unrepentant bigots, I think at a minimum, Sarah, it’s clarifying. He is trying to make America hate again and running arguably the most unapologetic white nationalist presidential campaign we’ve ever seen,” Greenblatt told CNN. Anchor Sarah Snider asked whether Trump’s defense of the meeting – that he didn’t know Fuentes was coming and doesn’t know anything about him – is justification for the meeting occurring. “It makes no difference,” Greenblatt responded.

A video circulated on Israeli social media on Sunday showing Palestinian children playacting a “martyr’s” funeral. In a chilling portrayal of the “excellent” chinuch that Palestinian children receive from the cradle, the exuberant children are seen carrying a “bier” bearing the “shahid” – a small child draped in a Palestinian flag. The children are happily singing: “Ya mother, I wore a new shirt, make me a martyr.” (YWN Israel Desk – Jerusalem)

The blowback over former President Donald Trump’s meeting with two virulent antisemites – rapper Kanye West and white nationalist Nick Fuentes – appears to be growing, with a number of his allies beginning to publicly criticize him. Frum conservative commentator Ben Shapiro tweeted: “A good way not to accidentally dine with a vile racist and anti-Semite you don’t know is not to dine with a vile racist and anti-Semite you do know.” Shapiro was reacting to Trump’s defense of the meeting, in which he said that he only invited Kanye and that the rapper brought along people he claims not to know.

Many were shocked when news broke that former President Donald Trump was recently visited at Mar-a-Lago by antisemitic rapper Kanye West and white nationalist Nick Fuentes. West tweeted a video about his dinner with Trump, in which he says that “Trump is really impressed with Nick Fuentes.” He also tweeted a screenshot of group text messages between himself, Fuentes, Milo Yiannopoulos, and another individual whose name is blurred out. In the screenshot, the person identified as Fuentes specifically says that he spoke to Trump, and the unidentified person blames former Trump aide and current GETTR CEO Jason Miller for leaking the story about the meeting with the former president.

Two New York City police officers and a bystander raced to save a man who fell on the tracks at a Manhattan subway station, plucking him out of the way of an oncoming train in a daring rescue captured by an officer’s body camera. The incident happened around 4 p.m. Thursday at the 116th Street station in East Harlem. The man, whom police said fell by accident, was taken to a hospital with injuries to his hand and back. Officers Brunel Victor and Taufique Bokth were on patrol at the station when they saw a commotion and heard a scream from the opposite side of the station, police said. They ran up and down stairs, through an emergency exit and onto the tracks, pulling the man to safety with the assistance of a bystander who was already trying to help, police said.

Yeshivah bochurim gathered at the site of the terror attack at the entrance to Jerusalem on Wednesday night and sang together, with several bochurim accompanying on the guitar. The poignant singing came after the heartrending levaya of Aryeh Schupak, h’yd. Aryeh, z’l, was one of three bochurim of Yeshivas Harei Yehudah on Moshav Beit Meir who were waiting for the yeshivah van next to the bus stop where the device exploded. Aryeh, h’yd, suffered fatal injuries, his friend was seriously injured, and the third bochur miraculously survived.

Former President Donald Trump appears to have met two infamous antisemites at his Mar-a-Lago estate this week. Reporter Meridith McGraw said Wednesday that rapper Kanye West, who has made numerous antisemitic comments in recent weeks, and avowed neo-Nazi and Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes were seen together at Mar-a-Lago. “According to a source, far-right extremist Nick Fuentes was spotted with Kanye West at Mar-a-Lago. West tweeted last night he met with Trump at the club. West and Fuentes were also seen together at Miami airport,” McGraw wrote on Twitter.

Newly sworn-in Otzma Yehudit MK Yitzchak Waserlauf gave his first speech to the Knesset plenum on Monday. “I want to use this time, which is the first time I am speaking to the plenum, to read a few numbers,” he began. “I came to the Knesset to help as many as people possible…I heard a story yesterday that made an impression on me.” “When MK Gafni entered the Knesset over 30 years ago, he went to speak to HaRav Shach, zt’l, who told him: ‘If you tell me that you obtained millions of shekels for this or that institution, I won’t understand what it’s about…I don’t understand money. But if you’ll tell me that an almanah approached you who was having issues with arnona (property tax) and you helped her, that I’ll understand.” “I turn to the public – I’m here for you.

Are Hamas and the Taliban terror organizations? Well, it depends on who you ask. That is the position of ABC co-host and prominent liberal Whoopi Goldberg. On Tuesday’s The View, co-host Sunny Hostin claimed that after a tweet invoking anti-Semitic tropes, Nancy Pelosi pulled aside Rep. Ilhan Omar and demanded that she apologize. Hostin said that Omar has “never said anything like that again,” which is patently false. Co-host Sarah Haines then pointed out that just last year, Omar fired off a tweet comparing the United States and Israel to Hamas and the Taliban, which Haines said are “organized terrorist communities.” “Depends on who you talk to,” Whoopi Goldberg interjected. Goldberg isn’t exactly known for her brilliant takes.
