A family celebrating a simcha at a hotel in the New York area turned the lobby of the venue into a full-on replica of Yerushalayim’s Meah Shearim neighborhood. A video tour provided by an attendee shows the lobby decked out in signage, fake storefronts, and even workers dressed as Yerushalmis – all to create an atmosphere of being in the epicenter of Yerushalayim’s foremost charedi neighborhood. As can be seen in the video below, the “stores” included Mefoar with tzitzis hanging outside of it, Falafel Geulah with non-Jewish servers dressed as Yerushalmim, and pashkevilin announcing a “kinnus neturei karta” hung on supporting pillars and walls. Perhaps the only thing missing was having a group of chareidim yelling “Gevalt!” at guests as they arrived at the hotel.

Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, issued a warning to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in case he is thinking of launching a bid for the presidency in 2024: don’t you dare. Speaking to Sky News, Lara Trump said that her father-in-law’s announcement scheduled for 9 p.m. on Tuesday, expected to be his official announcement to enter the 2024 campaign, will be “a very historic event.” When asked who she thinks would win in a head-to-head matchup between Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis, Lara was clear that she doesn’t think DeSantis should get involved until 2028. “I think that Ron DeSantis is very smart. Look, he’s a young guy. There will be a lot of opportunity for him in the future, and he knows this, to run for president,” she said.

In his most candid remarks since the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol complex, former VP Mike Pence told ABC News that Trump could have gotten him killed that day. “I mean, the president’s words were reckless. It was clear he decided to be part of the problem,” Pence told ABC host David Muir. When Trump tweeted, as the chaos was unfolding, that Pence didn’t have the “courage” to overturn the 2020 election results, the vice president got angry. “I turned to my daughter, who was standing nearby, and I said, ‘It doesn’t take courage to break the law. It takes courage to uphold the law,'” Pence said. “The president’s words were reckless and his actions were reckless,” Pence said.

Candace Owens, an employee of Orthodox Jewish conservative commentator Ben Shapiro’s Daily Wire, told her audience that they should read Adolf Hitler’s infamous book, Mein Kampf, and complained about backlash that Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving got for posting a link to an antisemitic movie. Owens, who was hired by Shapiro in 2020, had previously defended anti-Semitic rapper Kanye West after he went on multiple rants against Jews and promoted multiple anti-Semitic conspiracy theories and tropes. At the time, Owens vehemently defended West, insisting that what he said about going “death con 3” on Jews wasn’t anti-Semitic.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog on Sunday assigned the mandate of forming the next government to Prime Minister-elect Binyamin Netanyahu. Herzog said at the ceremony that since Netanyahu was recommended as a candidate to form the next government by 64 Knesset members, in contrast to interim Prime Minister Yair Lapid, who was recommended by only 28 members, “therefore, according to all considerations, the result is clear – and the task of forming the government should be assigned to MK Binyamin Netanyahu.” Following Herzog’s speech, Netanyahu spoke, saying: “I am personally very excited to receive the right to form the government, no less than the first time I was zocheh to this 26 years ago.

Two historic military planes collided and crashed to the ground Saturday during an air show in Dallas, exploding into a ball of flames and sending plumes of black smoke billowing into the sky. It was unclear how many people were on board the aircraft or if anyone on the ground was hurt. Leah Block, a spokesperson for Commemorative Air Force, which produced the Veterans Day weekend show and owned the crashed aircraft, told ABC News she believed there were five crew members on the B-17 Flying Fortress bomber and one aboard the P-63 Kingcobra fighter plane. The Houston-based aircraft were not giving rides to paying customers at the time, she said.

Yosef Hadad, an Israeli-Arab pro-Israel activist, posted a laughable video on his social media accounts of an Israeli-Arab stammering to explain to Haddad why life in Israel “gives her flashbacks of South Africa.” “Here is a video you must see – an Israeli Arab from Haifa explains all the reasons why Israel is an apartheid state,” Haddad wrote. “Watch!” In response to her apartheid claims, Haddad asked: “But do you have separate bus lines here in Haifa for Arabs and Jews?” “No,” she replied. Haddad: “So can you give me an example of apartheid in Israel.” “Umm, in Israel,” she responded. “Umm, umm, umm, umm.. um..um.” Haddad then posted a photo of the Arab-Israeli next to US representative Rashida Tlaib, writing: “Is it just me or does she have a crazy resemblance to Rashida Tlaib?

A group of criminals carried out a brazen armed robbery of USPS mail in the heart of the Flatbush Jewish community on Thursday, threatening a mailman with a firearm in the process. The incident occurred at approximate 2:30PM on E. 24th Street between Avenue S and T, and began with two suspects approaching and then grabbing a mail cart on a sidewalk, fending off the mailman’s attempts to stop them, with one of them brandishing a firearm. A third suspect was in a rented van, to which the first two suspects brought the mail cart and then fled. Crime has been out of control in New York City for a long time, but this robbery is brazen, with the thieves feeling comfortable enough to strong-arm a federal employee on a public street in broad daylight.

Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham, one of Donald Trump’s staunchest supporters and defenders, appeared to turn on the former president Wednesday night. In her Wednesday night monologue, Ingraham laid out what she believes is necessary for a Republican to be victorious in 2024, and took a shot at Trump in the process. “Going to 2024, the Republicans are going to be looking for candidates who are focused on winning – not just making a point or settling a score. So, to really change it, we’re gonna have to win and we have to win over voters outside our traditional base. That means young people, too,” she said. “That’s got to be the goal for the next presidential election. The populist movement is about ideas. It is not about any one person.

ABC’s Jon Karl made clear who he thinks was the biggest loser in Tuesday night’s midterm elections: Donald Trump. “Big picture, I can’t tell you if the Republicans are going to win the Senate, they might,” Karl said. “I can’t tell you if they’re likely to win the House, it sure looks like they could. But what I can tell you is the biggest loser tonight is Donald Trump. His candidates, his hand-picked candidates, lost in states Republicans thought they could win.” He noted that Trump-endorsed candidates in New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and beyond had all lost or on their way to losing. “These were states Republicans thought they were going to be able to flip,” Karl said. “On the flip side of this, who won tonight on the Republican side?
