A mega-gathering of all the N’shei organizations from across Yerushalayim devolved into chaos Sunday night when a group of Eitz hardliners attacked and attempted to break up the event. The event, which was sponsored by Eretz HaKodesh, served as inspiration and chizzuk to the 500+ women who joined and featured Rebbetzin Yamima Mizrachi as the keynote speaker, as well as music by Mrs. Mimi Luria, as well as an address from an Eretz Hakodesh representative who explained the important work that they do. In middle of the event, a bunch of goons who had heard about it through the various flyers distributed around Yerushalayim neighborhoods, crashed the event and began making problems.

Republican New York gubernatorial candidate Rep. Lee Zeldin went on Fox News Monday morning to discuss his race against incumbent Gov. Kathy Hochul. Over the course of the segment, Zeldin discussed various issues plaguing New York, particularly the state’s rising crime rates. He also touted his support across various communities, including the Bangladeshi, Muslim, and Jewish communities in the state, which the hosts asked him about, and specifically about his “endorsement from Yeshiva World News.” “You got the endorsement of the Yeshiva World News,” host Dana Perino said. “That is an important voting bloc.” “Yeah, we’re feeling great about the support that’s coming in from the Orthodox Jewish community, from the Hasidic community,” Zeldin responded.

A fundraiser for Rep. Mike Lawler in Wesley Hills headlined by Republican House Minority Whip Rep. Steve Scalise and joined by several other congressmen from across the country was attended by various high-ranking members of the chasidish community, just a day after President Biden begged them to support incumbent Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney. Chasidic dignitaries in attendance included New Square Mayor Izzy Spitzer, Kaser (Vizhnitz) Mayor Eli Pinkasowitz, Airmont Deputy Mayor Shimon Moses, Chestnut Ridge Trustee Chaim Gross, Pomona Village Trustee Mendy Lasker, activist Yossi Gestetner, and others. The Chasidic presence at the fundraising luncheon came just a day after President Joe Biden called the Skverer and Vizhnitzer rebbes, asking them to throw their support behind Rep.

As Israel prepares for yet another election in five days, one of the Chevrei Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah, Rosh Yeshivas Chevron HaGaon HaRav Dovid Cohen, issued a fierce attack against Otzma Yehudit chairman Itamar Ben-Gvir. “This man is the biggest mechallel Shem Shamayim of the generation,” the Rosh Yeshivah said. “He’s metamei the Mikdash [Har Habayis] in public. He’s persecuting Jews with his behavior.” “People are following after him and running after him and singing for him. And they’re saying that there’s a tzibur that’s going to vote for him. If you do, you’re a partner with that Mechallel Shamayim. You’re playing with your Olam Haba – not just that you’re going to lose your Kiddush Hashem.” (YWN Israel Desk – Jerusalem)

On Chol Hamoed Sukkos, violent Arab riots broke out in Jerusalem, including the Beit Hanina area. A number of Arabs from Beit Hanina threw stones at passing cars while blocking the road with garbage cans and wooden pallets. At one point, one of the Arabs signaled to the others with a laser pointer toward a car of a Chareidi family that was advancing toward them. The Arabs attacked the car and its occupants – parents, a baby and two toddlers – with severe violence, hurling a volley of stones at the car and chasing after it. Fortunately, the driver managed to escape the scene but the car was damaged and a female passenger was slightly injured.

Elon Musk posted video Wednesday showing him strolling into Twitter headquarters ahead of a Friday deadline to close his $44 billion deal to buy the company. Musk also changed his Twitter profile to refer to himself as “Chief Twit” and his location as Twitter headquarters, which is based in San Francisco. The video showed him carrying a sink through a lobby area. “Entering Twitter HQ – let that sink in!” he tweeted. A court has given Musk until Friday to close his April agreement to acquire the company after he earlier tried to back out of the deal. Neither Musk nor Twitter has said if the deal is closed yet. Despite Musk’s splashy entry to headquarters, it wasn’t clear yet whether his purchase of Twitter had been finalized.

UTJ MK Yitzchak Pindrus posed several questions to HaGaon HaRav Gershon Edelstein about Chareidi people who feel disgruntled with UTJ and are unsure if they will vote for the party. Question: “A father whose son didn’t get accepted to the local cheder despite being suitable and he’s upset that the Degel HaTorah representatives aren’t correcting this injustice. What should he do? Right now he says he doesn’t want to vote.” HaRav Edelstein: “How is it shayach? It’s a Kiddush Sheim Shamayim [to vote for Gimmel]. It’s not for the benefit of the representatives. It’s a Kiddush Hashem. It’s not a private favor.

More than five months after experiencing a stroke, Pennsylvania Democrat John Fetterman  struggled as he attempted to wade his way through a debate with Republican Mehmet Oz. Both men are vying to succeed Republican Pat Toomey in the Senate. Fetterman at times was unable to string together coherent words and sentences, leaving many questioning the state of his health. Fetterman has refused to release his medical records and refused to say if he would when asked about it by debate moderators. In the opening minutes of the debate, Fetterman addressed what he called the “elephant in the room.” “I had a stroke. He’s never let me forget that,” Fetterman said of Oz, who has persistently questioned his ability to serve in the Senate.

Republican New York gubernatorial nominee Rep. Lee Zeldin took a sledgehammer to incumbent Gov. Kathy Hochul’s handling of crime in the Empire State during a lopsided debate that saw Zeldin repeatedly slamming Hochul over her support for violence-defending policies. “Unfortunately, Kathy Hochul believes the only crimes being committed are these crimes with guns,” Zeldin said. “And yet people are afraid of being shoved in front of oncoming subway cars, they’re being stabbed, beaten on the street with hammers.” “Go talk to the Asian-American community about how it’s impacted them with the loss of lives; Jewish people targeted with raw, violent anti-Semitism on our streets. It just happened yet again,” he continued.

Gimmel released a number of campaign videos on Monday, with most focusing on the anti-religious incitement of the members of the Bennett-Lapid-Lieberman government. The video begins with the incitement of Yisrael Beitenu chairman Avigdor Lieberman even before the government was formed when he said: “We need to take the Chareidim, together with Bibi, on the same wheelbarrow to the closest garbage dump.” It then moves on to Prime Minister Yair Lapid, saying [also pre-government].
