Thousands of people who made their way into Bnei Brak early Sunday to attend the levaya of Sar Hatorah Maran HaRav Chaim Kanievsky zt”l were met by an incredible outpouring of love by Vizhnitzer and Nadvorner chasidim. On orders from the rebbe, Viznhitzer chasidim accommodated thousands of people and provided food and drink to the travelers, rejuvenating them ahead of and after they attended the levaya. The Vizhnitzer bais medrash was also made available to all, with many sitting and immersing themselves in Torah ahead of the 12 pm levaya. At the same time, the Nadvorner chasidim cooked hot food – enough to feed thousands of people, and invited all who wished to come and take whatever they needed.

Former prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu traveled to Bnei Brak after midnight on Motzei Shabbos to pay his respects to HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky, zt’l. Netanyahu came accompanied by heavy security to the modest home on Rashbam and recited pirkei Tehilim. When Netanyahu was ready to depart back to Jerusalem, his security guards had to evacuate him to a neighbor’s home due to the thousands of people who had crowded around the home. Netanyahu was stuck at the home of the Malachi family for two hours in the building next door while his security guards waited for an opportunity to safely escort him from the area. Ultimately, they had to enlist the help of the local police.     נתניהו לא פחות ולא יותר נצור בבני ברק. בעקבות האלפים שכבר עכשיו נמצאים מסביב לבית ושואפים להכנס.

The motorcyclist who captured the incident said he was in the process of switching lanees when he noticed the door on the rear passenger side of the car swing open. Fox News journalist Benjamin Hall was injured while covering the Russian invasion of Ukraine for the network. “Earlier today, our correspondent Benjamin Hall was injured while newsgathering outside of Kyiv in Ukraine,” Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott said. “We have a minimal level of details right now, but Ben is hospitalized and our teams on the ground are working to gather additional information as the situation quickly unfolds.” Hall had been working along with several other Fox News correspondents to report on the war as Russia continues to pound and encircle Ukrainian cities. Hall’s injuries come after another American journalist, Brent Renaud, was killed Sunday after being shot in the neck by Russian forces as he traveled in a vehicle with other reporters.
