A former congressman known for his “non-interventionist” foreign policy, which led him to blame Jews for the Iraq war and accuse a pro-Israel “cabal” of targeting him, has lost the Indiana Republican primary.
In the race for the GOP nomination in the state’s 8th District, businessman Mark B. Messmer received 30,661 votes (38.5%); “paleoconservative” John Hostetler (who served in Congress from 1994 to 2006) received 15,640 (19.6%); and six other competitors got the remaining votes.
The Republican Jewish Coalition released a triumphant statement about Hostetler—a candidate the group had previously condemned—committing $1 million to his defeat.

FTX says that nearly all of its customers will receive the money back that they are owed, two years after the cryptocurrency exchange imploded, and some will get more than that. FTX said in a court filing late Tuesday that it owes about $11.2 billion to its creditors. The exchange estimates that it has between […]

In an unprecedented decision, the Turkish Trade Ministry recently announced, “We have decided to stop all imports and exports from and to Israel until Israel agrees to a ceasefire and allows humanitarian aid to flow into Gaza freely.”
The announcement came after weeks of speeches by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in which he used rhetoric largely seen as antisemitism, including claims that Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu and his government “are like Hitler.” Two weeks ago, Erdoğan went even farther, saying, “They are worse than Hitler.”

As YWN has been reporting, the Biden administration paused a shipment of bombs to Israel last week over concerns that the country was approaching a decision on launching a full-scale assault on the southern Gaza city of Rafah against the wishes of the United States. Senator Lindsey Graham is clearly furious about this decision, and […]

The Hostages and Missing Families Forum sent a letter on Tuesday to Mirjana Spoljaric, president of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and Kate Forbes, president of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), to raise awareness of the 132 hostages being held by Hamas in Gaza.
The letter calls on Red Cross leaders to cancel commemorations of World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day and urges them to advocate for the immediate release of the hostages held in Gaza.

As President Joe Biden runs for reelection, he’s resurrecting proposals to reshape American life from the cradle to the grave by lowering the cost of child care, expanding preschool opportunities and making home aides more available to the elderly. The initiatives were once part of Build Back Better, Biden’s gargantuan legislative agenda that stalled on […]

The Biden administration’s top diplomat for Iran, Robert Malley, has been sidelined for nearly a year while under federal investigation, without any official explanation from the State Department. However, new information about the case is emerging, revealing troubling allegations.
In a letter obtained by The Washington Post, Sen. James E. Risch (R-Idaho) and Rep. Mike McCaul (R-Texas), the top Republicans on the Senate Foreign Relations and House Foreign Affairs committees, respectively, decried the State Department’s lack of transparency and laid out the results of their own inquiry.

An airstrike in Gaza City by the Israeli Air Force killed a commander in Hamas’s terrorist naval force, the Israel Defense Forces announced Wednesday.
Ahmed Ali was responsible for “attacks on Israeli territory and against IDF ground troops operating in Gaza,” the IDF said. He was eliminated in a joint operation with the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet).
In the past weeks, he masterminded attacks that targeted IDF soldiers operating in the central Netzarim Corridor that splits the Strip.
“In his position, Ali in recent years has been involved in managing projects of the naval force of the Hamas terrorist organization in the Strip,” added the military.

Former Hamas terrorist-turned-Israeli spy Mosab Hassan Yousef aggressively confront journalist Abby Martin on Tuesday night, tearing into her over her incessant anti-Israel reporting. The heated exchange began when Martin accused Yousef, son of Hamas co-founder Hassan Yousef, of believing “all Muslims are terrorists.” Yousef retorted, “This is Abby’s desperate attempt to discredit me…I am a […]

As former President Donald Trump remains stuck in the courtroom listening to salacious details of an affair he denies, another spectacle is playing out in the background as his vice presidential tryouts get underway. The dynamic was on full display over the weekend at a closed-door fundraiser at his Mar-a-Lago club that doubled as an […]

The U.S. military completed construction of the floating pier and separately of its “causeway,” or “Trident” section, that will be anchored to the Gaza shore. But weather has delayed the delivery of the components to the Gaza area, Sabrina Singh, the deputy Pentagon press secretary, said during a briefing on Tuesday.
U.S. Central Command “temporarily paused moving the floating pier and Trident pier toward the vicinity of Gaza due to sea state considerations” late last week, Singh said.
“Today there are still forecasted high winds and high sea swells, which are causing unsafe conditions for the JLOTS components to be moved,” she added. (JLOTS is the Joint Logistics Over-the-Shore, or the floating pier.)

Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu hosted CIA Director William Burns at his office in Jerusalem on Wednesday afternoon for talks on the ongoing indirect hostage negotiations with Hamas.
Burns first held a private discussion with Mossad head David Barnea before they both joined the meeting with Netanyahu.
Israel sees no signs of a breakthrough in Egyptian-mediated negotiations on a hostages-for-ceasefire-and-terrorists-release deal, a source in Jerusalem told Reuters earlier on Wednesday.
However, the official said the mid-level delegation dispatched by Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu on Tuesday will stay in Cairo for now.
