A bus carrying 32 Israeli tourists in South Korea overturned on Thursday, killing an Israeli woman and injuring 31 others. Two of the victims were critically injured, five were seriously injured, and 24 were lightly injured. The driver told the police that the accident was caused by a mechanical failure in the gearbox. Israel’s ambassador to South Korea Akiva Tor is assisting the victims and their families. Representatives from the Israeli Embassy in Seoul are visiting the victims at the four hospitals they are being treated at. The passengers are reportedly Israelis in their 60s and 70s and are mainly native Russian speakers. (YWN Israel Desk – Jerusalem)
