The IDF announced on Thursday morning that a reserve soldier from the 5030th Battalion of the Alon Brigade was killed in battle with Hezbollah terrorists in southern Lebanon. He was identified as Sgt. Maj. (res.) Ronny Ganizate, H’yd, 36, from Givat Shmuel. He is survived by his wife Shoshanah and three children. His service in Lebanon was his third round of reserve duty since the war began, over 200 days of service. His death increased the death toll of soldiers killed in battle from the start of the war to 731. Another reserve soldier from the same battalion was seriously wounded in the same incident.
