[COMMUNICATED]
Another terrifying morning in jail.
Yehuda Schoenfeld sits nervously in the corner of his cell. The other prisoners call out in their native Russian:
“Hey Jew boy! What did you steal to get here?”
“You think you’re the chosen people, huh? Who’s chosen now?”
“Better watch out Jew, we’re gonna kill you.”
Yehuda buries his head in his hands, and prays.
It has been a terrifying 3 weeks since police came and arrested the father of 4, shocking him and his family. At first, there was only confusion. They assumed he would be home soon, if only shaken up. Once the details were revealed, however, that Yehuda’s identity had been stolen and used for tax fraud, they experienced sheer terror.
Due to Schoenfeld’s innocence, lawyers insist that with the payment of heavy fees, he could be easily freed. A simple Israeli family, the Schoenfelds can’t come even close to affording the $200,000 necessary to save his life.
And so, Yehuda waits in his jail cell, praying for a miracle.
Donations are being urgently collected to help release Yehuda Schoenfeld from prison. Every moment he spends inside, surrounded by Jew-hating criminals, is a danger to his life.
