Army Radio reporter Doron Kadosh posted a video on Monday morning of IDF forces in the heart of the Gaza Strip. “IDF tanks already reached Salah al-Din Street, the main thoroughfare that crosses the Gaza Strip, and attacked a suspicious vehicle there,” he wrote. “More and more signs testify to the depth of the advance of the IDF’s ground forces within the Gaza Strip, among other things, the overnight attack on a Hamas anti-tank position in the area of Al-Azhar University, which is located in the heart of Gaza City.” IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari said on Monday morning that more IDF forces entered the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours in an expansion of the ground operation. The forces killed dozens of terrorists who had barricaded themselves in buildings and tunnels and attempted to attack Israeli forces. In one incident, an IDF fighter jet struck a building where a meeting of Hamas terrorists was taking place, killing over 20 terrorists. Also, IDF ground troops identified armed terrorists and an anti-tank missile launch site in the area of Al-Azhar University and directed a fighter jet to attack them. Over 600 Hamas targets were attacked in the past day, including weapons warehouses, hideouts, anti-tank launching positions, and gatherings of Hamas operatives. (YWN Israel Desk – Jerusalem)
