CNN host Kaitlan Collins responded forcefully Monday evening after President Trump publicly criticized her following a contentious Oval Office exchange regarding the deportation of a man to El Salvador.
On her primetime program, Collins accused the president of walking back earlier commitments to honor a Supreme Court decision that required his administration to reverse the deportation.
She aired segments of the Oval Office confrontation, including moments when Trump dismissed her questions and had top officials like Attorney General Pam Bondi and Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller justify the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland resident who was sent to an El Salvador prison.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky issued a heartfelt invitation to former President Donald Trump, urging him to visit Ukraine and witness firsthand the toll of the ongoing war with Russia. During an appearance on CBS’ 60 Minutes Sunday, Zelensky appealed directly to Trump, asking him to come and see the suffering caused by the conflict.
“We want you to come,” Zelensky told Trump. “You think you understand what’s going on here. Okay, we respect your position. You understand. But, please, before any kind of decisions, any kind of forms of negotiations, come to see people, civilians, warriors, hospitals, churches, children destroyed or dead.”

During a meeting on Monday with El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele, President Donald Trump addressed the ongoing negotiations between his administration and the Iranian government, which had begun over the weekend.
Kicking off his comments, Trump remarked, “We’ve got a problem with Iran, but I’ll solve that problem, that’s almost an easy one.”
He went on to elaborate, saying, “Iran wants to deal with us, but they don’t know how. We had a meeting with them on Saturday. We have another meeting scheduled for next Saturday. I said that’s a long time [between meetings].”

On Thursday’s episode of MSNBC’s All In, Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) expressed disbelief that more people aren’t raising concerns about former President Donald Trump’s capacity to lead, calling it “beyond wild” that his “mental acuity or fitness to serve” remains largely unchallenged.

During an appearance on MSNBC’s Deadline Thursday, Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA) warned that President Donald Trump’s ongoing tariff policies could trigger a mass exodus of Republican support, saying they would “abandon him like rats off a sinking ship.”
Host Nicolle Wallace pointed to Trump’s declining approval ratings, stating, “I mean, the other thing that’s happened is Donald Trump’s approval rating has plunged. He’s at 41% overall approval and down to 40% on the economy. The tariffs are lower than that. When do you think Republicans will reassert themselves as elected officials?”

During a Wednesday segment on Morning Joe, veteran MSNBC commentator Chris Matthews delivered sharp criticism of the Republican Party, accusing it of being “almost brain dead” for failing to push back against former President Donald Trump’s tariff policies.

President Trump issued a new executive order on Wednesday targeting federal water-use restrictions, specifically those implemented during the Obama and Biden administrations. He promoted the move with the slogan that it would help “Make America’s Showers Great Again.”
“Overregulation chokes the American economy and stifles personal freedom. A small but meaningful example is the Obama-Biden war on showers,” Trump declared in the executive order.
The directive eliminates lengthy federal guidelines—thousands of words long—set by the Obama-era Department of Energy, which redefined what constitutes a “showerhead.” These rules were brought back under Biden after Trump had previously eased them during his presidency.

Investor Kevin O’Leary is urging former President Donald Trump to go even further in his hardline approach to China, calling for dramatically increased tariffs as the administration stays firm on its trade stance amid intense market swings.
“104% tariffs against China are not enough. I’m advocating 400%,” O’Leary said in an interview on CNN. “I do business in China. They don’t play by the rules. They’ve been in the WTO for decades. They have never abided by any of the rules they agreed to when they came in for decades. They cheat, they steal, they steal IP, I can’t litigate in their courts.”

During an appearance on CNBC’s Squawk Box on Tuesday, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) strongly challenged the idea that America is being taken advantage of in international trade deals simply because it runs a trade deficit. He argued that the entire premise is flawed and reflects a misunderstanding of how trade works.
“I mean, the whole debate is so fundamentally backwards and upside down. It’s based on a fallacy, and the fallacy is this, that somehow, in a trade, someone must lose. That somehow, when you trade with someone, there’s a loser and someone’s taking advantage of you, and China is ripping you off, or Japan is ripping you off. It’s absolutely a fallacy. Every trade that occurs in the marketplace is mutually beneficial,” Paul said.
