Iran has hurled a thunderous threat across the Indian Ocean, vowing to obliterate the joint U.S.-U.K. naval base on Diego Garcia in a storm of missiles and drones if the United States dares to attack the Islamic Republic. The chilling warning, reported by Britain’s The Telegraph on Saturday, comes as tensions between Washington and Tehran spiral toward a breaking point, with the remote Chagos Archipelago base now a glaring target in Iran’s crosshairs. “Iran possesses the firepower to strike from its mainland,” boasted Iranian state media, flaunting the nation’s arsenal.

The devastating incident occurred on Shabbos afternoon, when 32-year-old Miriam Yarimi, driving with a suspended license, struck and killed Natasha (Sara) Saada A”H, along with her 7-year-old daughter Diana A”H and 5-year-old daughter Debra A”H on Ocean Parkway near Quentin Road. Denmark’s foreign minister issued a sharp rebuke to the Trump administration on Saturday, criticizing the manner in which it has addressed Denmark and Greenland. He emphasized that Denmark is already stepping up efforts in Arctic defense and is willing to work even more closely with Washington.
“We’ll get Greenland. Yeah, 100%,” Trump declared in an interview with NBC News.
He continued, saying there’s a “good possibility that we could do it without military force” but made clear that “I don’t take anything off the table.”
Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen responded to the growing tensions in a social media video posted after U.S. Vice President JD Vance visited the island. Not long after, Trump addressed the matter again publicly.

President Donald Trump says Wednesday will be “Liberation Day” — a moment when he plans to roll out a set of tariffs that he promises will free the United States from foreign goods. The details of Trump’s next round of import taxes are still sketchy. Most economic analyses say average U.S. families would have to absorb the cost of his tariffs in the form of higher prices and lower incomes. But an undeterred Trump is inviting CEOs to the White House to say they are investing hundreds of billions of dollars in new projects to avoid the import taxes. It is also possible that the tariffs are short-lived if Trump feels he can cut a deal after imposing them. “I’m certainly open to it, if we can do something,” Trump told reporters.

Rabbi Younes Hamami Lalehzar, one of the leaders of the Jewish kehilla in Iran, attacked Israel live on Iranian television on Friday and disavowed the State of Israel. We we absolutely do not approve of the Israeli government, what it’s doing in the Holy Land.

During a press event on Friday, President Donald Trump offered his perspective on the definition of a woman, stating it is “somebody that can have a baby under certain circumstances,” and took aim at Democratic support for transgender women in sports, predicting it would hurt them politically: “because they’ll never win another election.”
When prompted by a reporter to explain what he believes constitutes a woman, Trump replied, “Well, it’s sort of easy to answer for me, because a woman is somebody that can have a baby under certain circumstances.”

KYIV, Ukraine (AP) — Russian drones hit a military hosp

Russian drones hit a military hospital, shopping center and apartment blocks in Ukraine’s second-largest city of Kharkiv, killing two people and wounding dozens, while U.S. President Donald Trump voiced anger at Russian President Vladimir Putin for comments he made about the leader of Ukraine. Ukraine’s General Staff denounced the “deliberate, targeted shelling” of the military hospital late Saturday. Among the casualties were service members who were undergoing treatment, it said. Regional Gov. Oleh Syniehubov said those killed were a 67-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman.

U.S. immigration officials are asking the public and federal agencies to comment on a proposal to collect social media handles from people applying for benefits such as green cards or citizenship, to comply with an executive order from President Donald Trump. The March 5 notice raised alarms from immigration and free speech advocates because it appears to expand the government’s reach in social media surveillance to people already vetted and in the U.S. legally, such as asylum seekers, green card and citizenship applicants — and not just those applying to enter the country. That said, social media monitoring by immigration officials has been a practice for over a decade, since at least the second Obama administration and ramping up under Trump’s first term.
