With only a few official weeks of winter left, an approaching storm could finally bring New York City some accumulating snowfall. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through Tuesday morning for New York City and coastal areas. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect north and west of New York City. The high temperature will be 41 in New York City, and in the low 40s in the suburbs. Rain and snow will be developing during the evening. New York City and northern New Jersey could see snow and sleet accumulation of 3 to 5 inches, according to the National Weather Service. Long Island could get between 2 and 4 inches of snow. Lakewood will see mostly rain with possibly some sleet.
