IDF forces overnight Wednesday carried out an operation in the city of Shechem, razing the home of Osama Tawil, who murdered IDF soldier Ido Baruch, H’yd in a shooting attack in October 2022. In the course of the operation, armed terrorists opened fire at IDF forces and local Arabs threw explosives and Molotov cocktails. The soldiers returned fire, wounding at least three terrorists, one of whom later died of his injuries. A second terrorist is in critical condition. B’Chasdei Hashem, there were no injuries to IDF forces. Also overnight Wednesday, IDF forces, Shin Bet operatives, and Border Police officers carried out counterterrorism operations throughout the Shomron and arrested eight wanted suspects in a number of Arab villages.

Menachem Ordman, a 34-year-old resident of Mevo Dotan and father of five, recounted the moments of horror when he was shot in a terror attack on Tuesday in the Shomron. Ordman said that he had stopped his car on the side of the road at the Efes intersection in order to talk on the phone since the cellular reception in the area is poor. He was still talking on the phone when he noticed a car with Israeli license plates and tinted windows approaching from the opposite direction. “They stopped opposite my car, opened the back window, and simply sprayed me with M16 rifles from point-blank range. I was covered with blood, I thought I was dead. After a minute, I realized that by a neis, I was still alive, I pulled out my gun and returned fire. They fled.

In the most recent episode of his “Tucker on Twitter” show, former Fox News host Tucker Carlson launched a scathing attack on the indictment of former President Donald Trump, accusing President Joe Biden of persecuting his political adversary. During a recent encounter in the White House, President Joe Biden responded with a smile, chuckle, and evasive behavior when questioned about allegations of bribery during his time as Vice President. As he left an event with US diplomats in the White House East room, a reporter asked Biden if there were tapes that captured him accepting bribes. Left-wing “Brothers in Arms” protesters heckled Economy Minister Nir Barkat during his speech at an economic conference in Sderot on Tuesday. One member of the audience yelled at the protesters: “I have businesses in Sderot. You don’t even live in the area. I came to hear how I’m supposed to handle the damage caused by the Gaza operation. Why are you harming my parnassah?” Many local residents shouted at the protesters to “go back to Tel Aviv.” Police officers who were called to the scene ordered the protesters to leave the building or face arrest. Three protesters were arrested, including Amir Haskel, an ex-IDF pilot who is one the leading figures in the protests against the Netanyahu government. The protesters also made a ruckus outside the building.

Speaking on the Senate floor Monday, Senator Chuck Grassley revealed new information regarding an alleged criminal bribery scheme involving Joe Biden and a foreign national connected to Ukrainian energy giant Burisma. According to Grassley, the FBI’s FD-1023 form, which was discussed in a briefing with congressional lawmakers, contains a redacted reference suggesting that the Burisma executive had 17 audio recordings of conversations with both Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden. Grassley accused the FBI of failing to comply with a subpoena from the House Oversight Committee and demanded transparency in making the document public.

Former President Trump pleaded not guilty at a Miami federal courthouse Tuesday to 37 federal felony counts related to his alleged refusal to hand over classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago residence. Trump made his first appearance in court for the case in Miami on Tuesday and pleaded not guilty. He was indicted last week on the 37 counts by Special Counsel Jack Smith. The FBI seized 102 documents from Trump with classification markings in August. Trump’s aide and co-defendant, Walt Nauta was also arrested, fingerprinted and processed. The criminal charges in the Justice Department’s classified documents case escalates the legal jeopardy surrounding the 2024 GOP front-runner.

During a CNN town hall on Monday night, former New Jersey Governor and current presidential candidate Chris Christie launched a scathing attack on Donald Trump, holding him responsible for the Republican Party’s underperformance in three consecutive elections. While Christie’s own candidacy is viewed as a longshot and his poll numbers remain low, he has distinguished himself by openly criticizing Trump unlike other contenders. Expressing his astonishment, the former governor questioned why some candidates were avoiding any mention of Trump during their campaign trails. “Say his name, man,” Christie exclaimed. “How do you beat someone if you won’t talk about them? How do you defeat them if you won’t differentiate yourself from them?… The only thing he understands is force.

The FDNY and Flatbush Hatzolah are at the scene of a second-alarm home fire on Avenue I and E. 23rd Street. The fire began at around 10:40 pm, and Hatzolah has treated at least one in unknown condition. Due to the intensity of the flames, all FDNY firefighters have been ordered out of the structure, over fears that it could collapse.
