As YWN has reported, the members of the Lev Tahor cult have been attempting to leave Guatemala in recent days in an attempt to travel to the Kurdistan area and then enter Iran. Fortunately, due to the intervention of concerned relatives in Israel, Israel’s Foreign Ministry has become involved and has requested that Guatemalan authorities prevent the families from leaving the country. US and Canadian authorities are also involved in the effort. In a video obtained by B’Chadrei Chareidim, a Lev Tahor family is seen waiting in line for a flight, with the father “disguised” in an attempt to hide his identity. He is wearing standard clothing and sneakers, his payos are tucked into a baseball cap, and he is busily scrolling on his smartphone.

A shooting in Flatbush ended with a hit-and-run and a police pursuit on Thursday afternoon. It began at around 4:30PM on East 36th Street and Ave J, when two suspects opened fire on a victim. The two suspects fled the scene and crashed into a vehicle on Ocean Avenue and Quentin Road. The two suspects bailed from their crashed vehicle, and fled on foot. This triggered a heavy police response and a foot pursuit ensued. A police chopper was hovering overhead, and one suspect was taken into custody. A second suspect managed to get away. Police were seen looking into the sewers for a gun that may have been tossed inside. Flatbush Hatzolah transported the victims from the crash who were in stable condition. The gunshot victim is critical, and was transported by EMS to a local hospital.

A Border Police officer was seriously wounded overnight Wednesday in a car-ramming terror attack at the Qalandiya checkpoint crossing north of Jerusalem. Israeli security forces at the checkpoint opened fire at the car when they saw it speeding toward them. The car ran over a Border Police officer and then crashed into a wall. The officer, 20, was treated by MDA paramedics at the scene and evacuated to Shaare Tzedek Hospital with moderate injuries to his head and abdomen. His condition later deteriorated to serious but stable. The Arab terrorist was arrested and transferred to the Shin Bet for questioning. He was then evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in moderate condition due to a head injury.

Dozens of cargo ships have been anchored offshore from the ports of L.A. and Long Beach for weeks. There were 58 container ships reported offshore as of Tuesday morning. That is down from a reported peak of 73 container ships offshore two weeks ago. The bottleneck is creating major delays, leading to a spike in shipping costs and hurting thousands of small businesses. Last week, officials said there could be as many as half-a-million shipping containers on cargo ships off the ports of L.A. and Long Beach, waiting to be offloaded. The logjam is due partly to the shortage of warehouse workers and truck drivers to pick up goods.

Tucker Carlson addressed comments made by President Joe Biden about Fox News’ vaccine requirements for employees and called them “a lie.” On Monday’s edition of his show Tucker Carlson Tonight, the controversial host referred to comments made by President Biden last week. Speaking outside Chicago on Thursday, Biden addressed vaccine requirements for businesses. BIDEN: “Fox News requires vaccinations for all their employees.” TUCKER: “As a factual matter, what Joe Biden just said is completely untrue. It is a lie, period. We can say that with authority since we work here. Every day, literally alone among big media outlets, Fox News defends this country’s most basic civil liberties. What we used to refer to as the Bill of Rights.

Chilling audio of the exchange between the pilot of the plane that crashed in California on Monday and air traffic control reveals moments of intense alarm and apparent disorientation. “It looks like you are drifting off course. Are you correcting?” an air traffic controller is heard asking Dr. Sugata Das, an Arizona cardiologist and pilot of the deadly flight. The air traffic controller then became more specific in his commands to Das. “Low altitude alert. Climb immediately. Climb the airplane. Maintain 5,000. Expedite the climb. Climb the airplane please.” The controller continued urging the pilot to ascend to 5,000 feet as the plane remained at about 1,500 feet above ground. “You appear to be descending again, sir,” the air traffic controller then said.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett spoke on Tuesday morning at The Jerusalem Post 10th Annual Conference and shamelessly admitted that his goal is to limit Chareidi political influence. After speaking about the Iranian threat, Bennett moved on to politics, saying: “In Israel there are basically three political vectors: the national force, which I’d absolutely call right-wing; the globalist-humanist approach, which I’d basically call the Left, and the religious: Chareidim and the Orthodox. In practice, we need all three vectors but you actually want that debate.” “An Israel without the religious aspect for example would not be an Israel I want because we are the Jewish state. I’m happy there are Chareidim but we need to limit their political sway,” Bennett asserted.

A passenger videoed a Dan bus driver watching a moving on his smartphone as he navigated the number 3 bus route through the congested streets of Bnei Brak, B’Chadrei Chareidim reported. “I got on the bus and was astounded to see the driver watching a movie throughout the route without even trying to hide what he was doing,” the outraged passenger told B’Chadrei. “His disgraceful contempt for human life and his defiant attitude toward his passengers is simply outrageous.” “Almost every day we’re witness to disasters caused by the use of cell phones while driving,” he continued.

A Jewish teen was punched in the face on Sunday, and Boro Park Shomrim and the NYPD are looking for the suspect. Sources tell YWN that the group of teens approached the victim at around 4:20PM on Ditmas Avenue and East 3rd Street. One of the teens began asking him questions and then a suspect in a white shirt punched the victim in the face. The group immediately fled the scene. Boro Park Shomrim and the NYPD responded, and canvassed the area, but unfortunately, the suspects were no where to be found. Hatzolah responded to the scene and treated the victim for facial trauma. NYPD Detectives are investigating the incident, which does not appear to be a hate crime at this time. If you have any information, please call 911 and the Boro Park Shomrim 24 hour emergency hotline at 718-871-6666.
