Dozens of Chabad shluchim were reportedly harassed on a flight to Israel by an American Airlines flight attendant as they returned home from the recent Chabad kinus in Crown Heights. According to several shluchim on the flight, the harassment began immediately upon boarding the aircraft, and reached its climax when the shluchim got up and stood in the plane’s aisles to daven shacharis. The many shluchim standing in the aisles blocked the passage of one of the stewardesses, who promptly announced that food and drink would no longer be distributed; only passengers who came to the plane’s kitchen and specifically requested food or drink would receive any.

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy officially declared victory Wednesday evening, following a closer-than-expected election that saw him winning by a tiny margin over Republican Jack Ciattarelli. However, new shocking video released by Project Veritas has some questioning whether Murphy won the election fair and square, or if fraud was at play in the Garden State. In the video released tonight on Instagram, a poll worker is seen telling a man who identifies himself as a non-resident and non-citizen that he can fill out a ballot and cast a vote in the election. The poll worker is then seen handing the man, presumably a Project Veritas reporter, a ballot.

A member of Israel’s Knesset said from the Knesset plenum on Tuesday that the Balfour Declaration, which declared the state of Israel, is “cursed.” “Today, November 2, 104 years ago, was the cursed Balfour Declaration, which announced the establishment of a Jewish home in Palestine,” Joint Arab List MK Osama Saadi told the Knesset. The Balfour Declaration was a public statement issued by the British government in 1917 announcing support for the establishment of Israel as a national home for the Jewish people. Saadi reiterated his view on the state of Israel in an interview with Army Radio later on Tuesday, stating: “We recognize the Holocaust, the greatest tragedy in the world, but the Jewish people has its own home and the Palestinian people do not.” (YWN Israel Desk – Jerusalem)

Shas MK Moshe Abutbul made cat meowing sounds during a speech on the state budget being delivered by Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, even pulling out a cat doll to illustrate his point. Abutbul’s stunt was a reference to a clause in the state budget that would allocate 12 million shekels to neuter stray cats across Israel, a proposal that the opposition has repeatedly mocked. The Shas MK’s move came just two days after United Torah Judaism chief Yaakov Litzman came under fire for calling leaders of the current government coalition “dogs” while speaking of the same proposal. “I don’t know much about cats. No injuries were reported Wednesday in an apartment building fire that sent dark smoke billowing over Brooklyn. Firefighters worked for more than an hour on the blaze at 222 Lenox Road in the borough’s East Flatbush neighborhood. The fire department said the blaze on the upper levels of the seven-story apartment building was first reported at around 11 a.m. About 170 firefighters and EMS personnel responded, the fire department said. President Joe Biden was caught on camera apparently taking a snooze during a speaker’s presentation at the recent COP26 climate change conference held in Glasgow, Scotland. Biden was seen on video listening to the rambling speech as his eyelids moved inexorably closer and closer to one another until they met, and the president dozed off to the dreamy sounds of climate talks. An aide who had managed to stay awake quickly roused the snoozing president, who was attempting to nap during a captivating speech by Eddie Ndopu, who was saying that global warming threatened “our ability to grow food and even to survive.” To be fair, that’s some snoozy stuff. Former President Trump, having seen the video of Biden’s cat nap, released a statement joining in the fun of mocking the president.

Israel Police on Monday detained imprisoned Rabbi Eliezer Berland for questioning regarding his alleged involvement in the murders of Nissim Shitrit and Avi Edri over 30 years ago. The murders are suspected to have been perpetrated by members of Berland’s Shuva Banim movement and police suspect that he may have played a role in ordering the murders. Berland returned to prison just last week to serve a five-month sentence for fraud, exploitation, attempted intimidation, tax offenses, and money laundering. Later on Monday, police arrested his wife, Tehilla Berland, as a suspect in the case. Violent confrontations broke out outside the Berland apartment in the Choma HaShilishit neighborhood in Jerusalem between police and Shuvu Banim followers as the arrest was carried out.

Footage released by the FDNY Sunday night shows an irate customer lobbing a Molotov cocktail into a deli at 496 Nostrand Avenue, in Brooklyn’s Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood, following an argument with the food establishment’s staff. Footage from the incident appears to show the suspect, identified as 38-year-old Joel Mangal, lighting the Molotov cocktail – and improvised incendiary device – and tossing it through the deli’s front door, where it struck a display case and exploded. Mangal then allegedly attempted to lob a second Molotov cocktail into the store but was blocked by a passerby who knocked the explosive from his hand. The suspect then attempted to flee but was chased down by one of the deli’s employees.
