I think a lot of countries are watching to see how this plays out.

Israel and the United States tested the upgraded Arrow 2 air defense system late Wednesday night, successfully downing a simulated long-range surface-to-surface missile over the Mediterranean Sea that could potentially be fired from Iran, Israel’s Defense Ministry stated on Thursday. The radar system of the Arrow 2 detected a simulated Sparrow target fitted with an explosive warhead and the Arrow 2 interceptor missile fired precisely at the right moment and detonated its explosive payload, completely destroying the target, said Boaz Levy, vice president and head of the Systems, Missiles and Space Group at Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), which manufactures the Arrow 2.

Israel’s Border Police deployed a new laser system to intercept incendiary and explosive balloons launched from Gaza near the border on Tuesday. The Lahav-Or (Light Blade) laser system was developed by researchers at Ben-Gurion University (BGU) of the Negev and is the first defense system of its kind in the world. The system, which utilizes a laser beam used for cutting thick plastic on greenhouses, intercepts the balloons, hopefully while still within the Gaza Strip but if not, will intercept or locate them within Israel. After the system pinpoints a balloon or kite, it fires a laser beam, incinerating it midair. It can also fire laser beams at drones, burning part of it until it malfunctions and crashes. A wedding was held on Tuesday night in Tehran, Iran on Tuesday, officiated by Rav Yehudah Grami, the Chief Rabbi of Tehran. The chuppah was held with a minimal amount of guests and in accordance with local health regulations at the main shul Ahavas Shalom. A massive fire has broken out at “The Zone Camp” (Oorah’s Girls Division Camp) in Upstate NY. Video footage shows one building fully engulfed in flames at the camp located on Gilboa Road in Gilboah, NY (Schoharie County). Eye-witnesses tell YWN that the building housing the kitchen and dining-room is totally destroyed, and fire fighters are battling the blaze. The incredible Chesed of Hatzolah Air soars once again as their dedicated flight crew flew a severely injured Yeshiva Bochur back from Colorado. As YWN had reported last week, two boys were on a hike with their camp, when they slipped and fell. One suffered a fractured pelvis, while a second boy suffered even more serious injuries including a femur and spinal fracture. Both boys were airlifted to a trauma center, where the seriously injured boy underwent emergency surgery. Upon learning that one of the boys would have to be flown home, Hatzolah Air immediately deployed with a specialized medical team and highly-trained flight crew to Centennial Airport in Colorado.
