A white couple was arrested after at least one handgun was pulled on a Black woman and her daughters during a videotaped confrontation in a restaurant parking lot in Michigan, authorities said Thursday. Jillian Wuestenberg, 32, and Eric Wuestenberg, 42, were charged Thursday with felonious assault, Oakland County Prosecutor Jessica Cooper said in a release. It was not immediately clear when they would be arraigned or if they have attorneys who could comment on the allegations. Cellphone video captured the confrontation Wednesday outside a Chipotle in Orion Township, about 40 miles (64 kilometers) northwest of Detroit. Jillian Wuestenberg can be seen outside her vehicle shouting “get the (expletive) away! Get away!” while pointing a handgun.

A Florida sheriff said he will deputize every gun owner in his county to put down any violent protests his deputies can’t handle alone. Clay County Sheriff Darryl Daniels gave no indication in a three-minute video released Wednesday that any demonstrations are planned in his suburban Jacksonville county. Daniels also said he would protect any peaceful protests, but added that if anyone starts “tearing up Clay County, that is not going to be acceptable.” “If we can’t handle you, I’ll exercise the power and authority as the sheriff and I’ll make special deputies of every lawful gun owner in the county and I’ll deputize them to this one purpose: to stand in the gap between lawlessness and civility,” said Daniels, sporting a white cowboy hat as he stood in front of 18 deputies.

A group of three teenagers fell into a well in Kedumim on Thursday evening. The incident took place near the Har Hemed neighborhood of Kedumim in Samaria. Firefighter, police officers, Search and Rescue Units, and United Hatzalah teams were on site. From initial reports, it appears that three teenagers who went out for a walk got stuck in the well. Two of them were able to get out of the well on their own and with the assistance of rescue forces who arrived at the scene. There is concern that another boy is still missing in the water. United Hatzalah reported “United Hatzalah EMS volunteers treated one of the boys who got out of the well for a light case of hypothermia.

A man was arrested for allegedly setting off fireworks that burned down a home in Brooklyn. Damien Bend, 36, is charged with arson in the fourth degree. On June 24, firefighters responded to the home on E. 51 St. for reports of a fire on the first floor of a two-and-a-half story home. It took 60 firefighters to bring the flames under control. The Fire Marshal said video footage obtained of the incident shows Bend igniting fireworks in the driveway of the home when a burst from one of them entered an open window on the first floor. The Fire Marshal said Bend continued to set off the remaining fireworks before entering his house to retrieve more. In the last nine days, Fire Marshals have arrested 17 people and confiscated approximately $36,700 worth of illegal fireworks.

A man reportedly slashed a 2-year-old boy across the face as the child was being pushed in a stroller down a Manhattan street this week. The boy was with his babysitter near W. 110th Street and Morningside Drive in Morningside Heights around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday when the man came up and pretended to play with the child, and then suddenly slashed the boy above his eye. It’s unclear what he used to slash the toddler. The individual then fled the scene on foot westbound on West 110 Street. The victim suffered a laceration above his right eye and EMS removed him to Mt. Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital in stable condition. The individual is described as a male, approximately 5’6″ in height, with short black hair; last seen wearing a white shirt, dark colored shorts, black socks and black sneakers.

Children with serious illnesses and their families enjoyed a much-needed night out from the comfort and safety of their cars at Chai Lifeline’s Summer Kickoff Concert in Monsey, NY on July 1. The concert was the first in a series of programs and events for “Camp Simcha Without Borders,” Chai Lifeline’s new initiative to bring the magic of Camp Simcha to communities across the country this summer. Social media personality Meir Kay emceed the program, which featured performances by Beri Weber, Avraham Fried, Yoni Z, Eli Gerstner and the Yeshiva Boys Choir, and others. Close to 1,000 excited children and families sang and danced along to the music in their cars and enjoyed boxed dinners prepared by Chai Lifeline volunteers.

Residents of Petach Tikva began their week with a disturbing sight – the fountain at the “Trump Square” in their city was gushing “blood” after having been vandalized with red dye overnight as a sign of protest against the annexation of Judea and Samaria. The fountain had also been defaced with red graffiti stating: “The annexation will cost us in blood.” The fountain in Petach Tikvah was inaugurated last July in honor of President Trump moving the US embassy to Jerusalem shortly after recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital city. One of the activists involved in the “protest” told Channel 12 News: “Annexation will lead to a security and economic disaster…there are steps that cannot be taken back.

Criticized for inaction, President Donald Trump and top officials on Wednesday stepped up their defense of the administration’s response to intelligence assessments that Russia offered bounties for killing U.S. troops in Afghanistan. Trump’s national security adviser said he had prepared a list of retaliatory options if the intelligence proved true. Trump, meanwhile, called the assessments a “hoax” and insisted anew he hadn’t been briefed on them because the intelligence didn’t rise to his level. However, National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien said both the CIA and Pentagon did pursue the leads and briefed international allies.

Former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani was visitng the Whitehouse today, and on his way inside was asked about plans by Mayor DeBlasio to paint a giant “Black Lives Matters” on 5th Avenue – in front of Trump Tower. QUESTION: “The decision to paint Black Lives Matter on 5th Ave, do you agree with that?” RUDY GIULIANI: “No, Black Lives Matter is a Marxist organization, run by three avowed Marxists – go check – Black Lives Matter has been planning to destroy the police for 3 years. Emergency personnel are on the scene of a building collapse in Brooklyn. The incident was reported at 338 Court St. just after 4:30PM on Wednesday. A partial stop work order had been issued for failure to maintain the building and it appears to have been under construction. The building housed a gym called Body Elite on the first floor. The building is a three story building under construction. FDNY reports all workers have been accounted for. FDNY has pulled all members from conducting searches do to the possibility of a secondary collapse.   (YWN World Headquarters – NYC)
