For a first time, there has been a reduction in chareidi enlistment into the IDF, in 2018, registering a 20% decrease as compared to the previous year. The numbers were released in a report by Aharon Rabinowitz of the daily Haaretz.

Israel Police over the weekend arrested a 65-year-old Bnei Brak resident who is alleged to have attacked chareidi girls at the entrance to their school in the city.
The investigation began about a month ago after police received complaints from girls attending the chareidi school, explaining there is an anonymous man who did unspeakable things to some of them, all minors.
