The Israeli Yated Ne’eman newspaper, aligned with the Degel Hatorah faction of the Yahadut Hatorah party, sharply criticized National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir in its paper today, labeling him as a “pyromaniac politician.”
This rebuke follows Ben Gvir’s recent endorsement of establishing a shul on the Har Habayis in Yerushalayim’s Old City.
The newspaper emphasizes the enduring stance of leading gedolei haposkim across generations who categorically prohibited Jews from ascending the Har Habayis.
The publication condemns Ben Gvir’s statements as “severe” and accuses him of “endangering the residents of the Holy Land.”

Each week, the “tzaddik of Tiveriah,” Rav Dov Kook, traditionally spends seudah shlishis with his talmidim after the end of Shabbos, delivering words of hisorerus for an extended hour after Shabbos has ended.
This past Motzoei Shabbos, Parshas Eikev, Rav Kook strangely deviated from his custom and continued seudah shlishis for many hours deep into the night.
While in a state of great spiritual uplift, Rav Kook turned and whispered to his brother-in-law, Rav Eliezer Roth, head of the Asos Mishpat Bais Din and son-in-law of Rav Yitzchok Zilberstein, “Boruch Hashem, all the judgments and decrees have been sweetened.”

Rav Shmuel Eliyahu, the chief rabbi of Tzefas, urged both the government and the IDF on Sunday to take necessary measures to ensure the safety of the northern residents.
“This morning, the people of Tzefas and the Galilee witnessed a miracle. Despite the launch of dozens, perhaps even hundreds of rockets, thankfully, no one was injured,” Rabbi Eliyahu stated.
He continued, “In the north, we face daily attacks. This is not a new occurrence; we experienced a similar assault on Friday and again last week.”
Rav Eliyahu emphasized, “We appeal to the IDF, its commanders, and the Israeli government to ensure that we have the same right to safety as those in Tel Aviv. We expect to live here without fear, and for safety to be guaranteed throughout the northern regions.”

It is with profound sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of Rebbetzin Esther Rivka Levenberg a”h, whose passing leaves a void in the hearts of many.
Rebbetzin Levenberg was the aishes chover of Rav Yehuda Levenberg, one of the eminent talmidei chachomim of Lakewood, a towering figure in Bais Medrash Govoah for decades, and the author of the multi-volume classic Imrei Chein seforim.
Rebbetzin Levenberg was the daughter of Rav Mordechai Schwab zt”l, the famed “Tzaddik of Monsey” and mashgiach of Yeshiva Bais Shraga. Inheriting her father’s spiritual greatness, she was a paragon of humility, modesty, and kindness.

The grandson of the former acting Chief Rabbi of Israel, HaRav Eliezer Igra, was wounded fighting in Gaza over Shabbos.
The soldier, who is a member of the paratroopers brigade, was lightly wounded in battle in Khan Yunis, and Baruch Hashem doctors estimate he will be able to be released from the hospital within a few days.
Rav Igra, who is currently running for the Chief Rabbi position, received a phone call on Motzei Shabbos informing him of his Grandson’s injury. The Rav went to be Mevaker Cholim at Sha’are Tzedek hospital, and canceled his appointments for the evening.
Rav Igra has 5 grandsons and 7 sons or sons-in-law who have served in the IDF in reserves since the war in Gaza began, fighting both in Gaza and on the northern front.

A French police officer was wounded on Shabbos in a bombing outside the Beth Yaakov Shul in the seaside resort town of La Grande-Motte, close to Montpellier in southern France.
Two vehicles were found at the scene engulfed in flames, according to the European Jewish Press. The congreagation had not yet arrived at the Shul for Shabbos Davening services when the blast occurred.
The Representative Council of Jewish Institutions in France (CRIF) said the incident showed “an attempt to kill Jews.”
The use of a gas canister “in a car at a time when worshippers are expected to arrive at the synagogue is not simply a criminal act,” CRIF president Yonathan Arfi told Agence France-Presse.
CCTV footage reportedly showed a suspect waving a PLO flag near the synagogue.

Shlomo Zilberman, a chareidi soldier serving in the Paratroopers Brigade’s ‘Hetz’ company, took the opportunity to explain to Defense Minister Yoav Gallant the practice of observing shilchos Shabbos according to Rabbeinu Tam.
During a discussion with soldiers from the brigade, Gallant inquired about Zilberman’s experience in the military and his initial perception of the IDF before enlisting as a chareidi Jew. Zilberman candidly admitted, “I didn’t know what the army was. They had to explain this to me,” and he added that he was unfamiliar with even basic military distinctions, such as “red and black infantry boots.”
