An atzeres tefillah will be held this coming Sunday, September 22, at 450 Broad Street in Newark, NJ, in response to the ongoing giyus (military draft) crisis in Eretz Yisroel.
The event will run from 1 PM to 5 PM.
Admorim and gedolei roshei yeshivos have expressed support for the atzeres tefillah, with details at this prior Matzav.com report.
The gathering, which posters titled “זעקת הגולה,” is being organized with the participation of various kehillos.
The posters promoting the event emphasize the seriousness of the situation, calling on the broader Jewish Diaspora to stand in solidarity with their brethren in Eretz Yisroel. The slogan on the posters, “כולכם נקבצו באו לך,” encourages widespread attendance to raise a collective voice in tefillah.

The battle with bureaucracy continues for a project to construct an education complex to teach as many as 2,500 Frum children.
The Jackson Township Planning Board in New Jersey rejected a proposal by 394 Chandler Holdings to build four private Jewish schools. As such, the company’s attorney, Donna Jennings, announced plans to sue.
The Aug. 19 decision resulted from a disagreement over whether the government should classify a road to the property as public or private. The latter designation would require future approval from the township council for exemptions on local zoning laws.

Senior gedolei Torah in Eretz Yisroel—Rav Meir Tzvi Bergman, Rosh Yeshivas Rashbi; Rav Dov Landau, Rosh Yeshivas Slabodka; Rav Moshe Hillel Hirsch, Rosh Yeshivas Slabodka; Rav Aviezer Piltz, Rosh Yeshivas Tifrach; Rav Chaim Feinstein, Rosh Yeshivas Ateres Shlomo; and Rav Dovid Cohen, Rosh Yeshivas Chevron—have written special letters to kehillos in the United States, calling on them to join an upcoming tefillah gathering against the draft decree in Eretz Yisroel.

Rav Yehoshua Abba Busel will deliver his first shiur klali today at Bais Medrash Govoah in Lakewood, NJ.
This shiur klali marks the second instance of the next generation of yeshiva leadership, specifically the sons or sons-in-law of the current roshei yeshiva, delivering such a shiur. The first was when Rav Aharon Olshin delivered a shiur klali last zeman.
The shiur klali is scheduled to take place at 12:45 p.m.
This shiur klali serves as a form of hachtarah for Rav Busel, as he has assumed the title of “R”M” at the yeshiva.

A poster was released last night announcing an atzeres tefillah in response to growing concerns about threats to the Torah world and the Olam Hayeshivos in Eretz Yisroel.
The poster says that this large-scale gathering, set for this month of Elul, aims to bring together thousands of Jews to cry out in tefillah and protest, pleading to Hashem “lehaavir es ro’a hagezeirah.”
The atzeres is being organized in response to governmental decrees that are seen as endangering the integrity of Torah institutions and the broader Torah community.
The poster does not delineate the date or location of this planned atzeres.

In response to the growing challenges and decrees facing the chareidi public, the heads of the chareidi parties have agreed on a division of labor in their dealings with the Prime Minister.
Shas Chairman Aryeh Deri will focus on resolving the issue of daycare centers. UTJ Minister Yitzchok Goldknopf has taken responsibility for the draft law, while Degel HaTorah Chairman Moshe Gafni will address budgetary issues related to chareidi education.
“The best solution for the daycare subsidy issue is to pass the draft law and regulate the status of those required for military service by law, and this must be done quickly,” Prime Minister Netanyahu said.

The meeting extended for nearly an hour and included not only the Draft Law but also recent developments about the expansion of the governing coalition.
Rav Landau inquired about the specifics of the Draft Law situation and its potential impact on the legislative efforts. The MKs provided him with a thorough update on the matter. The conversation later shifted to focus on the Har Habayis.

Rav Raber was a son of Rav Avraham Aba Raber and Mrs. Rachel Haber. He attended the Yeshiva of Kfar Chassidim, where he quickly gained the respect of his rabbeim, particularly Rav Eliyahu Lopian and Rav Mishkovsky.
