Rabbi Levinson devoted his life to chinuch, nurturing generations of talmidim with wisdom, warmth, and love for Torah. His dedication to his students extended beyond the classroom, as he was known for providing them with guidance and inspiration that stayed with them throughout their lives.

Rav Halioua was hospitalized shortly before Yom Tov due to an infection. Tragically, his condition worsened during the Yom Tov, necessitating a transfer to the Intensive Care Unit, where he ultimately passed away.
Rav Halioua was a towering figure in the Olam HaTorah and a beloved rebbi to talmidim. His dedication to avodas Hashem and his profound commitment to all were hallmarks of his leadership.

It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of Mrs. Pearl Kaufman a”h at the age of 87.
A longtime resident of Lawrence, NY, Mrs. Kaufman dedicated her life to the frum community and became a pillar of strength and commitment, particularly in the realm of chinuch.

Rav Shlomo Halioua, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Rabbeinu Chaim Berlin in Brooklyn, New York, was hospitalized shortly before Yom Tov due to an infection. Unfortunately, his condition worsened during the Yom Tov, prompting a transfer to the Intensive Care Unit .
Throughout Yom Tov, the yeshiva recited Tehillim and special tefillos for the Rosh Yeshiva’s recovery.
Rav Halioua is a son-in-law of the previous rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Rabbeinu Chaim Berlin, Rav Aharon Schechter zt”l.
All are asked to daven for Rav Shlomo Chai Dovid Yitzchok ben Mesoda.

As we navigate the days of Chol Hamoed Sukkos, a time of joy and reflection, many are grappling with how to properly mark the first year since the devastating tragedy that unfolded on Simchas Torah last year. The massacre that claimed the lives of so many Jews left an indelible mark on Klal Yisroel, and the pain is still deeply felt.
To provide clarity and direction during this challenging time, we turned to Hagaon Rav Elya Brudny, chaver, Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah, and rosh yeshiva of Mirrer Yeshiva, and Hagaon Rav Yitzchok Sorotzkin, chaver, Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah, and rosh yeshiva of Mesivta of Lakewood.

Monday night, the vibrant atmosphere of Yeshivas Mir Yerushalayim’s Simchas Bais Hashoeivah was electrified as R’ Shlomo Yehuda Rechnitz, the esteemed baal tzedakah and machzik Torah from Los Angeles, graced the stage.
In his engaging speech, R’ Rechnitz addressed a diverse range of issues facing the Torah community today, including the remarkable growth of Torah in our times. He extolled the virtues of Yeshivas Mir Yerushalayim, emphasizing the exceptional nature of its roshei yeshiva and rabbeim, telling the talmidim, “Nutzed dos ois!” (That is, “Take advantage!”)

On Tuesday, the Binyamin Regional Council announced that Major (Res.) Rabbi Aviram Hariv fell in battle in southern Lebanon.
Rabbi Aviram was a resident of Dolev, a community north of Yerushalayim in the Binyamin region, and a Rav at the Dolev girls’ high school.
He is survived by his wife and six children: Achinoam (18), Ziv (15), Shachar (11), Ori (9), Amit (7), and Avri (4).
Rabbi Aviram, age 43, served as a reserve deputy battalion commander.

On Monday, Construction and Housing Minister Yitzchok Goldknopf addressed the ongoing debates surrounding the Draft Law, expressing his belief that young charedi men should be granted an exemption from military service.
While visiting the sukkah of Religious Affairs Minister Michael Malkieli (Shas), where Kol Chai Radio was broadcasting, Goldknopf remarked, “They do not like it when I say what we have done, what we have given, and that we want the Draft Law and the minimum that is written [in the coalition agreements].”

Yigal Calek, the famed composer and director of the London School of Jewish Song, has passed away, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the Jewish musical world.
Born in Israel, Yigal’s exceptional ear for music and flamboyant style led him to prominence during the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, as he guided the London School of Jewish Song to international fame.

Rav Meir Mazuz, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Kisei Rachamim, addressed the recent UAV attack on Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu’s private residence in Caesarea during Sunday morning remarks. The drone strike targeted the Netanyahu family’s home, though fortunately, they were not present at the time of the attack.
Speaking shortly after Shacharis, Rav Mazuz drew a connection between the Prime Minister’s role in safeguarding the nation and his personal protection. “Yesterday, the accursed evil ones launched a UAV, an unmanned aerial vehicle,” he said. “This UAV fell into the home of the Prime Minister, in Caesarea – they thought they had done a very great thing.
