There is good news from the Intensive Care Department at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Yerushalayim, as improvement has been seen in the condition of Rav Boruch Mordechai Ezrachi, Rosh Yeshivas Ateres Yisroel and member of the Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah of Degel Hatorah.
His closetalmid, Rabbi Yaakov Grossbard, stated, “Boruch Hashem, there has been a noticeable improvement in the medical condition of the rosh yeshiva. Nevertheless, we continue to daven for his rapid and complete recovery.”
Last night, shortly before midnight, talmidim gathered at the Kosel to cry out in tefillah and supplication for the refuah of the rosh yeshiva.

It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of Rav Elchonon Schwimmer zt”l, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Orchos Meir in Bayit Vegan, and previously rosh yeshiva at Yeshivas Chevron Geulah. He was 66.
Rav Shwimmer suffered from a severe illness, and in recent days, his condition deteriorated. He passed away at Hadassa Ein Keren Medical Center in Yerushalayim.

A series of regulations were announced in the Gerer community: In Gerer shteiblach throughout Eretz Yisroel, it was declared over Shabbos that there are issues regarding women’s wigs, which raise concerns of avodah zarah.
Although the announcement was not an official proclamation, the gabbaim passed the directive around that there are issues with all shaitlach coming from abroad that raise concerns of avodah zarah. The rabbonim of the community examined the matter and ruled that those who have already acquired a shaitel may continue to wear it. However, from now on, those who purchase a shaitel should only do so from a place that has proper certification due to the issues that have arisen in recent years.

It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the tragic passing of Shia Singer z”l at Camp Arugas Habosem-Tzeilim on Whittaker Road in South Fallsburg, NY. He was just 12 years old.
Following the seudas Shabbos on Friday night, Shia suddenly collapsed. Despite the valiant efforts of Hatzolah, they were unable to revive him, and he tragically passed away at the hospital.
Shia, a son of R’ and Mrs. Chaim Bentzion Singer, was a talmid at Talmud Torah Darkei Chaim in Boro Park.
The Singers are mispallelim of Rav Binomin Eisenberger’s kehillah in Boro Park.

It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the passing of Rabbi Dr. Shalom Gold z”l.
Rabbi Gold, originally from the Williamsburg area of Brooklyn, NY, was a talmid of Yeshiva Torah Vodaath in NY, Yeshivas Ner Yisroel in Baltimore, and Yeshivos Ponovezh and Chevron in Eretz Yisroel. He received semicha from Israeli Chief Rabbi Rav Yitzchok Isaac Herzog and Rav Yaakov Yitzchok Ruderman.
Rabbi Gold was at the forefront of establishing communities both in the Diaspora and Israel. In 1959, as a young man, he arrived in Toronto to establish Yeshiva Ner Yisroel there. Additionally, he played a key role in the development of Congregation Bnei Torah in Willowdale, a northern suburb of Toronto.

In a positive turn of events, Dovid Aryeh Lang, the almost eight-year-old boy from Lakewood, NJ who choked on a candy toy on Thursday has made a miraculous recovery.
After being rushed to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune in a life-threatening condition, the young boy underwent emergency surgery.
Fortunately, on Shabbos, he regained consciousness, marking a significant milestone in his recovery journey.
Currently, Dovid Aryeh is not only awake, but also alert, actively engaging in conversation, and enjoying meals.
The boy’s ability to eat and communicate is an encouraging sign, indicating positive neurological functioning and overall improvement in his condition.

It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of Rebbetzin Chava Taplin a”h. She was 81.

The levayah will be held Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. at the Congregation Sons of Israel Holocaust Memorial Chapel off of East 7th Street in Lakewood, NJ.

All are asked to daven for the wellbeing of Rav Baruch Mordechai Ezrachi, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva Ateres Yisroel and a member of the Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah of Degel HaTorah, who was hospitalized over Shabbos.

The 94-year-old rosh yeshiva is in full consciousness and is now said to be stable, but he will remain in the hospital, likely until Monday.

WATCH:

Bnei Brak is grappling with a severe rat infestation that has caused shock and dismay among residents. Sifrei Torah and sifrei kodesh have been discovered with gnawed edges, having been bitten by rats. The situation has worsened to the point where even a 2-year-old girl was bitten by a rat while sleeping in her bed at night.
Initially, the Bnei Brak municipality denied the extent of the problem, insisting that the city was clean. It was only after significant public pressure that measures were taken to address the issue. The city council approved a “strategic plan for general infestation,” but according to residents, there has been little to no action on the ground, and the infestation continues to escalate.
