A gathering has been scheduled for this Sunday, September 29, in Lakewood, New Jersey. Titled “Zaa’kas HaGolah” (Cry of the Exile), the event calls upon Yidden from around the globe to unite and stand up for the future of Torah learning and yeshiva bochurim in Eretz Yisroel.
A flyer for the event, posted above, warns of an immediate and critical threat to the yeshiva bochurim of Eretz Yisroel, stating that this issue is far more than a mere concern—it’s a battle for the future of Klal Yisroel itself, the flyer says. The situation centers around what the flyer says is growing dangers faced by bochurim, particularly the pressure and threats of being drafted into the Israeli military.

The elevator will bridge the 26 meter height difference between the Jewish quater of the old city, and the Kosel plaza.

The Aug. 19 decision resulted from a disagreement over whether the government should classify a road to the property as public or private. The latter designation would require future approval from the township council for exemptions on local zoning laws.
