Suddenly, a separate car cruising along the highway veers towards the back of a tow truck parked on the side of the road. Ron DeSantis didn’t mince his words when asked why he should be the 2024 Republican nominee, saying that he would wreck leftism in the United States. “Why is right now the time for Ron DeSantis to run for president?” Fox News host Joey Jones asked DeSantis Monday morning. “Because everyone knows if I’m the nominee, I will beat Biden and I will serve two terms and I will be able to destroy leftism in this country and leave woke ideology on the dustbin of history,” DeSantis replied. “At the end of the day, I’ve shown in Florida an ability to win huge swaths of voters that Republicans typically can’t win while also delivering the boldest agenda anywhere in the country,” he continued.

Several Jewish groups, politicians and an alliance of civil society groups gathered for a memorial ceremony and a protest rally against a concert by Roger Waters in Frankfurt on Sunday evening. The protest was held in the wake of Waters’ recent concert in Berlin, during which he wore a SS officer’s uniform and compared Nazi victim Anne Frank to Al-Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh. The police in Berlin launched a criminal investigation into the incident following complaints of incitement. The concert took place in the city’s Festhalle, where in November 1938 more than 3,000 Jews were rounded up by the Nazis, beaten and abused, and later deported to concentration camps.

A Bedouin man was arrested following the circulation of a video on Israeli social media of a car speeding toward a yeshivah bochur and then swerving away at the last minute. The bochur was standing at a bus stop on Highway 31 in the Negev and trying to hitch a ride. Following the circulation of the video on Sunday, Israel Police officers located the driver, a 22-year-old resident of Sa’wa, a Bedouin village in the Negev. “The driver was arrested today for questioning for suspected reckless driving and the endangerment of human life,” Israel Police stated.
