U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland refused to rule out prosecuting Donald Trump over the Jan. 6, 2021 riot in Washington, D.C., saying he intends “to hold everyone, anyone who was criminally responsible” accountable. Garland was asked about the Jan. 6 riot by NBC host Lester Holt, who specifically wanted to know whether Trump could be prosecuted for his actions relating to that day, noting that doing so would “arguably tear the country apart.” “Look, we pursue justice without fear or favor,” Garland said. “We intend to hold everyone, anyone who was criminally responsible for the events surrounding Jan. 6, for any attempt to interfere with the lawful transfer of power from one administration to another, accountable.

An all-out brawl between a teenager and an NYPD officer was caught on camera, showing a violent struggle between the cop and young suspect, who had been previously arrested for possession of a loaded gun and robbery. The suspect jumped a turnstile at the 125th Street and Lexington Ave. station in East Harlem. Police confronted him and exchanged words for some 3 minutes before the teen turned violent. The teen was eventually taken down and placed in custody, and subsequently charged with assault on a police officer, obstruction of governmental administration and resisting arrest. But thanks to New York’s utterly insane bail reform laws, the teen walked free the very next morning.

Eleven days after the departure of US President Joe Biden from Israel, the IDF demolished the homes of the Ariel terrorists in the village of Qarawat Bani Hassan overnight Monday. During the operation, riots broke out, with Arabs throwing explosives and rocks and setting tires on fire. IDF soldiers responded with riot control methods. Ten wanted Palestinians were arrested in other villages during the operation. Biden had made a number of requests prior to his visit, including delaying the demolition of the homes of the Ariel and Tel Aviv terrorists, as well as a number of risky concessions to the Palestinian Authority in order to “improve the atmosphere” between Israel and the PA. IDF soldiers, Shin Bet operatives and Border Guard officers carried out a counterterrorism operation overnight Motzei Shabbos in a number of locations in Yehudah and Shomron. Counterterrorism Yamam officers and Givati soldiers arrested terror suspects in Shechem and surrounded a house in which a terrorist had barricaded himself. With the January 6th Committee, Democrats, and even some Republicans continuing to attack former President Donald Trump for insisting that the 2020 election was stolen from him, Trump released a video montage of Democrats questioning the validity of previous elections. Numerous prominent Democrats feature in the mashup, including Joe Biden, Kamala Harris Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter, and numerous others. The montage was played at a rally in Arizona Trump spoke at in support of gubernatorial nominee Kari Lake. While at the rally, Trump said that the “witch hunts” against him would stop if he did one simple thing: announce that he’s not running for president. (YWN World Headquarters – NYC)

As bad as many people believe Joe Biden has been as president, some are worried that things would be worse if Kamala Harris became commander-in-chief. One of those people is Fox News host Greg Gutfeld, who responded to the news of Biden having been infected with Covid-19 by begging the president to recover. “I think I speak for all Americans and perhaps the world, President Biden, please get well soon,” Gutfeld said. “I mean, really, really get well soon. Don’t get sick. Please, because I don’t want the crazy cackler in charge.” Gutfeld also said he thinks Harris is thrilled that Biden is sick, with the veep hoping that the president succumbs to the virus. “I think she was doing cartwheels to work,” he said. “He looks fine.

U.S. Rep. Lee Zeldin, the Republican candidate for New York governor, was assaulted by a man who apparently tried to stab him at an upstate event Thursday but the congressman escaped serious injury. “I’m OK,” Zeldin said in a statement. “Fortunately, I was able to grab his wrist and stop him for a few moments until others tackled him.” Zeldin’s campaign said the attacker was taken into custody and the congressman continued his speech. He is challenging incumbent Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul this November. The attacker climbed onto a low stage where the congressman spoke to a crowd of dozens outside Rochester, flanked by bales of hay and American flags. A video posted on Twitter shows the two falling to the ground as other people try to intervene.
