When the gunman arrived at the synagogue, Rabbi Charlie Cytron-Walker of Congregation Beth Israel was running late. “In the midst of trying to do a million different things, I had a stranger come to the door,” he told a House Homeland Security panel. ” I have of course thought about that moment a great deal. I welcomed the terrorist into my congregation. I live with that responsibility.” The rabbi told lawmakers that despite being busy, he conducted a visual inspection of the terrorist, later identified as Malik Faisal Akram.

There was something fishy about New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ declarations that he’s a vegan. The Democrat — who wrote a book promoting his plant-based lifestyle and rolled out “Vegan Fridays” in New York City public schools — admitted Monday he occasionally eats fish. The new mayor was reeled into making the admission after Politico reported over the weekend that he had been ordering fish at restaurants. Adams initially sidestepped specifics about his eating habits Monday while demonstrating how to cook a vegan chili, as he promoted a city health program to help people with chronic disease by providing them resources related to a plant-based diet. The mayor told reporters he’s “perfectly imperfect” and said people shouldn’t worry about what’s on his plate.

Three armed terrorists responsible for at least four shooting attacks in recent weeks were eliminated on Tuesday in broad daylight in Shechem following intelligence and operational activities by the Shin Bet, Yamam counterterrorism forces, and the IDF. Israeli undercover security forces opened fire at a car in which the terrorists were traveling, killing all three terrorists. Baruch Hashem, no Israeli forces were injured in the operation. The dramatic operation in broad daylight left a car punctured with bullet holes on the streets of Shechem with a crowd of Arabs gathering around it. The terrorists were responsible for a series of shooting attacks against IDF forces and Israeli civilians.

A car salesman in Long Beach, California who goes by the name MikeMaali on TikTok dressed up as a Jewish person and jokingly declared himself a MOTT (member of the tribe) in a marketing ploy to sell Honda vehicles. “Want a good deal on a Honda? Come see Shlomo. Shlomo will give you a good deal,” the man says in a video he posted to TikTok. “M.O.T.T. – member of the tribe, baby.” Honda replied to StopAntisemitism.org, which had published the video on its Twitter account. “Honda condemns discrimination of any kind, and we expect our independently-owned dealers to uphold our principles,” Honda tweeted. “And employee of the dealer posted the content in question. We are investigating the situation.” A short while later, the Honda dealership chimed in.

There wasn’t a dry eye in the room at the Hachnasas Sefer Torah at the Viznitzer Beis Medrash in London on Sunday. Two people were killed in a horrific accident on the Palisades Parkway on Sunday. Police say an SUV was driving the wrong way on the Parkway about 10 miles north of New Jersey when it slammed into a 2016 Toyota Avalon, killing the drivers of both vehicles. Brendan Seabrook, 27, and Aristan Garandeau, 22, were both killed in the crash. Police said they were working to determine why Garandeau was driving on the wrong side of the Palisades Parkway, which is elevated above a wooded median at and near the accident scene. During a join Monday press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, President Joe Biden advised Americans to leave Ukraine as Russia appears to be preparing to invade their neighbor. “I think it would be wise to leave the country,” Biden told a reporter. “I would hate to see them get caught in a cross-fire if in fact [Russia] did invade. And there’s no need for that, and if I had anyone there I’d say leave.” US officials have warned for weeks that Russia is planning to invade Ukraine, and President Biden has threatened severe consequences if it does. “I think [Putin) has to realize that it would be a gigantic mistake for him to move on Ukraine,” Biden said.

Police brutally injured a Chareidi man in his 50s on Monday morning in the course of arresting him for not wearing a mask as he was shopping in a supermarket in Bnei Brak. According to a witness, police suddenly entered the store and upon seeing the man without a mask, demanded that he present them with a teudat zehut. An argument ensued between the man and the police, which ended with the police handcuffing him, during which they injured him. Hatzalah volunteers evacuated him to Sheba Hospital with facial injuries. “He told the police: ‘I don’t have money to pay the fine,'” a witness told B’Chadrei Chareidim. The police claim that the man tried to leave the store without completing the identity process. “He’s an avreich who wouldn’t hurt a fly,” the man’s father said.
