Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., appeared to shake off comments by the judge in the Derek Chauvin murder trial who said her “confrontational” remarks during a weekend protest in Minnesota could result in “this whole trial being overturned.” Judge Peter Cahill was asked by Eric Nelson, the defense attorney, to declare a mistrial due to prosecutorial misconduct and Waters’ comments at a Brooklyn Center protest on Saturday night. She was asked about the Chauvin case and told reporters if the former police officer is not found guilty of murder, “We’ve got to stay on the street and we’ve got to get more active, we’ve got to get more confrontational.

The Biden administration abruptly closed a shelter in Houston for unaccompanied migrant girls this weekend. ABC News reports there were multiple allegations, including girls being forced to spend most of their day on cots and having to use plastic bags to relieve themselves. One can’t help but be reminded of a statement by Biden Press Secretary Jen Psaki who was asked in February about something Former President Trump had said. “We don’t take our advice or counsel from former President Trump on immigration policy”, Psaki said. “We’re gonna chart our own path forward, and that includes treating children with humanity and respect….” That seems to include forcing children to relieve themselves in plastic bags.

Israel Police arrested two 19-year old Arabs from east Jerusalem who attacked a yeshivah bochur near Sha’ar Shechem, videoing the incident and then fleeing the scene. Lt. Col. Sami Marciano, a police commander in Jerusalem, is concerned by the growing trend of Arabs from east Jerusalem attacking religious Jews and uploading videos of the scenes on social media, Channel 20 reported. “Publishing [the videos] creates an atmosphere and motivates young people,” he said. “It creates a desire to join the trend. We’re working to monitor videos of criminal acts.” Below is another Tiktok video of an Arab throwing a rock on a passing bus. במדינה מתוקנת, לא היו מעיזים לעלות דבר כזה.חייבים להתעשת!

Safety regulators warned people with kids and pets Saturday to immediately stop using a treadmill made by Peloton after one child died and others were injured. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said children and at least one pet were pulled, pinned and entrapped under the rear roller of the Tread+ treadmill, leading to fractures, scrapes and the death of one child. The safety commission said in a news release and in emails that it knows of 39 “incidents” with the treadmill, involving “multiple” or “dozens” of children, but it did not specify a number of children. It said the majority of the incidents resulted in injuries, including the one death. The commission posted a video on its YouTube page of a child being pulled under the treadmill.

A driver who ran a red light threw a chemical liquid at a New York City police officer, drove away and then tossed a flaming Molotov cocktail as officers pursued him Saturday morning, authorities said. Body camera footage shows the driver tossing a liquid — later identified as bleach — at an officer who had pulled him over in Brooklyn. Authorities said the man sped off and then suddenly stopped, tossed the Molotov cocktail at the officers, before fleeing a second time. He later crashed his car and was arrested. An additional Molotov cocktail was found inside the vehicle, according to Police Chief Rodney Harrison.
