Israel Police arrested a left-wing female protester who hit Agriculture Minister Avi Dichter on the head with a flag on Thursday morning. The incident occurred during a protest at the Airport City business park, where Dichter was attending a conference. The police said they arrested three suspects, one who tried to block the entrance to the auditorium where the conference was held, the second who kicked a car belonging to Dichter’s entourage while biting one of the minister’s security guards, and the third after attacking Dichter and his car with a flag. Dichter was not seriously harmed.

Israeli security forces early Thursday morning eliminated a wanted senior terrorist responsible for multiple shooting attacks against Israeli targets. In a joint operation of the IDF, Border Police, and the Shin Bet, security forces surrounded the hideout apartment of Amir Abu Khadija, the head of the Tulkarem Brigade terror group, in the village of Izbat Shufa, near Tulkarem in the Shomron. Khadija responded by firing at the security forces who fired back and injured him. The security forces then ented the apartment, where the gun battle continued – ending with Khadija’s death. Another senior terrorist who was in the apartment with Khadija turned himself into the security forces. B’Chasdei Hashem, there were no injuries among the Israeli security forces.

HaGaon HaRav Gershon Edelstein engages in his regular schedule during Bein HaZemanin and delivered his daily shiur on Thursday, Rosh Chodesh Nissan, as usual. At about noon every day, the Rosh Yeshivah delivers a shiur to Ponovezh bochurim, avreichim and even baalei batim from the area. During Bein Hazemanin, the shiur continues as usual, with no difference from the shiur delivered during the zeman. A child is in critical condition following a horrific car crash in Lakewood, Thursday afternoon, Lakewood Alerts reported. The accident occurred at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Route 70 at around 4:00PM. One of the vehicles involved overturned and burst into flames. Arriving Hatzolah volunteers requested numerous ambulances and Paramedics to respond. One of the left-wing protesters in Bnei Brak on Thursday night was moved to tears by the Shabbos songs playing on loudspeakers. He took off his helmet with a mounted camera to wipe the tears streaming down his face. He then stood and swayed to the song, singing along with great emotion. The Chareidi girl who took the video said that the protester told her that when he heard Shalom Aleichem playing, it reminded him of his father, z’l, who always spoke about ahavas chinam. Heroic Hasidic residents jumped into action Thursday morning after a fast moving blaze ripped though South Blooming Grove’s new “Mint Leaf” Supermarket. The fire started at around 10:30am at the supermarket on Mangin Road. Thankfully, no one was injured, but sources tell YWN that it took nearly 20 minutes for the fire department to get adequate resources to work on extinguishing the fire. Not wasting any time time, local residents jumped into action, and can be seen in the attached video attempting to douse the fire with water. Six locals, dedicated and selfless heroic South Blooming Grove residents Yoely Simon, Moshe Lazer Rottenberg, Kalmy Saal, Shmiel Falkowitz, Meilech Friedman, and Moshe Bernath were seen “manning the line” to help put out the fire.

Left-wing protesters carried out an unannounced protest in front of Shas chairman Aryeh Deri’s temporary home in Bayit Vegan on Thursday morning as part of another national protest day dubbed National Paralysis Day. Despite the fact that the protests are ostensibly against judicial reform, they are actually protests against religion and tradition, as testified by the protesters’ signs with slogans against religion and Chareidim, including “we must oppose a halachic state.” Bochurim from Wolfson Yeshivah and Kehillas Noam responded by dancing and singing Achas Shaalti, Ashrei HaAm, Lev Tahor and Lev Tov Bara Li Elokim.

The Justice Ministry and the Board of Certified Public Accountants published data this week showing that Bais Yaakov girls were more successful at passing their CPA exams on their first try than all students at Israel’s leading universities. The accounting exams in Israel are notoriously difficult and according to the data, 96% of Bais Yaakov students who took the exam in the fall of 2022 for the first time passed, a higher percentage than any other academic institution. Only 67% of first-time applicants from Bar-Ilan University, 57% from Tel Aviv University, and 33% from Hebrew University passed the test. The Ruppin Academic Center fared better but even there, only 81% of students passed on the first try.

The Paley family held an emotional bris on Wednesday morning for their son who was born a month after the murder of their two sons Asher Menachem and Yaakov Yisrael, h’yd. The baby was named Yonasan Rafael. The bris was held at Ullmei Beis Yisrael in Jerusalem. Reb Paley recited the bracha of Shechiyanu in a broken voice choked with tears as the newborn’s wails could be heard in the background. HaMashgiach HaRav Don Segal, whom Reb Paley is very close to, served as the sandak.
