The Israeli city of Tel Aviv is under fire from a barrage of rockets launched from the Gaza Strip. The outgoing volleys set off air raid sirens across the city on Tuesday night, and Israel’s anti-rocket defense systems were activated. Hamas said it launched a total of 130 rockets, its most intense strike so far, in response to Israel’s destruction of a high-rise building in Gaza earlier in the evening. The sound of the outgoing rockets could be heard in Gaza. As the rockets made their way up in the skies, mosques across Gaza blared with chants of “God is great,”, “victory to Islam” and “resistance.”

In light of the serious escalation of terror from the Gaza Strip as well as the recent Meron tragedy, a special tefillah took place in the home of HaGaon HaRav Gershon Edelstein on Tuesday afternoon. A stabbing attack took place on Tuesday afternoon in Be’er Sheva, near Soroka Medical Center. A teenager was lightly wounded in the incident. The suspect, a Bedouin Arab, was shot and neutralized. Earlier on Tuesday, an attemted stabbing took place in the Shomron. The female terrorist was physically neutralized before she managed to stab anyone. There were no reports of injuries. As Israelis were waking up following a restless night of rocket fire from terrorists in Gaza, a rocket slammed into a residential apartment building in Ashkelon. MDA medics and paramedics provided medical treatment on scene and transported 6 injured individuals to Barzilai Hospital. An Israeli civilian was wounded on Monday afternoon by an anti-tank missile fired from the Gaza Strip toward Israel. The Israeli civilian sustained shrapnel wounds to his face and extremities, medics say, and was taken to Ashkelon’s Barzilai Medical Center for treatment. According to the army, he was in the car at the time of the attack. The Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack. (YWN Israel Desk – Jerusalem)

The IDF confirms that seven rockets were fired at Jerusalem on Monday evening. The attacks came Monday, shortly after Hamas had set a deadline for Israel to remove its security forces from the Har Habayis. The sounds of outgoing rocket fire were heard in Gaza shortly before the sirens went off. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage. One of the rockets fired at Israel from the Gaza Strip appears to have landed in an open field near the moshav of Beit Nekofa outside Jerusalem. Meanwhile, an anti-tank missile fired from Gaza hit an Israeli car across the border. The Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist group claims the attack.

Dramatic video footage went viral on Monday night, showing a large fie on the Har Habayis – as thousands were celebrating Yom Yerushalayim at the Kosel. Reports state that fireworks fired by Palestinians seem to have caught a large tree on fire. Police say officers are on the scene and are working to extinguish the blaze. Dozens of Arabs threw stone blocks, rocks and other objects at Jewish drivers near Sha’ar HaArayos outside the Old City, causing one driver to lose control of his car, which almost turned over before ramming into at least one of the Arabs. The Arabs then ran to the car and attempted to carry out a lynch of the driver. A nearby police officer ran to the scene to protect the driver and his two passengers while firing his gun in the air to control the Arab mob. A large number of police forces were called to the scene to disperse the crowd.
