The Torah tells us that a “mitztaer” (a person in pain) is exempt from the mitzvah of Sukkah. One may say that this exemption of a mitztaer being pattur from Sukkah is only applicable to the mitzva of Sukkah as the Torah commands us to dwell in the Sukkah the same way one needs to dwell in his house a whole year.
The Radvaz, the Birkei Yosef and the Sdei Chemed all say that a mitztaer is not only pattur from Sukka, but from all other mitzvos too. The Chelkas Yoav differentiates between Sukkah and other mitzvos. Even the slightest tzaar is enough to patter one from the mitzvah of Sukkah; however, regarding other mitzvos one may be patter only if he has a lot of tzaar.

Mesechtes Megilah discusses the inyanim of Purim. Interestingly enough, this Mesechta also speaks about the halachos of building a Shul. Why is this so?
The Gemara in Sanhedrin 20b brings down the three mitzvos the Yiddin were commanded when they entered Eretz Yisroel. They were commanded to appoint a king, to destroy Amalek, and to build the Bais HaMikdosh.

Missing Name

By Rabbi Berach Steinfeld
The Baal Haturim in Parshas Tetzaveh brings down a Zohar that says there is no Sedra in the Torah since Moshe was born that does not have the name of Moshe in it, except for Parshas Tetzaveh. The reason for this is because in Shmos 32:32 Moshe said, “Forgive the Bnei Yisroel and if not, erase me from your Sefer Torah.” There is a rule that if a chacham makes a curse, even if it said conditionally, it will happen. This therefore happened in Parshas Tetzaveh.

Building a Shul

By Rabbi Berach Steinfeld
In Shmos 25:5 it says that Hashem commanded the Yidden to build a mikdash so he can dwell amongst them. From this passuk we learn the concept that the Bnei Yisroel had to build a Mishkan and a Bais Hamikdosh. The Rambam in Sefer Hamitzvos Asseh 20 counts this as a mitzvah.
