Avi Gil, and National Security Council Deputy Director for Foreign Policy Avivit Bar-Ilan also participated. Senator Graham made the following statement at the meeting: “I told Saudi Arabia I’d like to upgrade our relationship. We have to do it in a way that would be reassuring to our friends in Israel. I want to help President Biden.

In a recent interview, Donald Trump claimed that employees of the Manhattan courthouse where he was recently arraigned on charges relating to 2016 hush money payments were “crying” during the booking process. This prompted Saturday Night Live comedians to roll clips on Trump claiming numerous times that people were crying to him or because of him. As superstar conservative Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis delivered a speech on a stage in Manchester, New Hampshire, on Friday, two women stormed the stage in protest of the soon-to-be presidential candidate. DeSantis was speaking at the GOP’s Amos Tuck fundraiser which raked in a record $382,000. “If you looked at governor races, president races, 2010, 12, 14, 16, 18–” DeSantis said before being interrupted by the demonstrators. DeSantis stopped and turned toward the protesters, saying, “Yeah, thank you.” As the two female protesters were escorted off the stage, they shouted in unison, “Jews against DeSantis!” “You gotta have a little spice in the speech, right?” DeSantis quipped. “I mean, you gotta have a little fun. Why you’d wanna pay the ticket to get in just to that, I don’t know.

Police have evacuated some homes in Rockland County as multiple brush fires burn along the CSX train line in Stony Point. At least three structures have caught fire, according to NBC New York. The fires were kicked off by sparks from an S/B train that had been traveling through Stony Point, Haverstraw, and Congers, according to Rockland fire officials. With the fires continuing to burn, CSX has been ordered to halt all train traffic coming and going from Rockland County. Black smoke is visible for miles surrounding the brush fires as strong winds send it billowing outwards in heavy clouds. On Tuesday, Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, had a contentious interview with BBC reporter James Clayton. Clayton asked Musk about allegations that the social media platform does not have enough staff to police hate speech. Musk challenged Clayton to provide specific examples of hate speech flourishing on Twitter, which the reporter could not provide. Clayton attempted to defend himself by stating that he had only reported others experiencing hate speech, not that he had seen it himself. A bus carrying 32 Israeli tourists in South Korea overturned on Thursday, killing an Israeli woman and injuring 31 others. Two of the victims were critically injured, five were seriously injured, and 24 were lightly injured. The driver told the police that the accident was caused by a mechanical failure in the gearbox. Israel’s ambassador to South Korea Akiva Tor is assisting the victims and their families. Representatives from the Israeli Embassy in Seoul are visiting the victims at the four hospitals they are being treated at. The Belzer Rebbe, who underwent surgery on Monday morning, Chol Hamoed Pesach, spent Shivii shel Pesach in Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital with his son, HaRav Aharon Mordechai Rokeach, grandsons and gabbaim. In a first, Belzer chassidim, many of whom travel to Jerusalem every year to spend shviii shel Pesach with the Rebbe, were asked to remain home. The Rebbe held a small tisch on leil haChag from his hospital ward and held “Neilas HaChag” at tzeis haChag with his children and grandchildren. Baruch Hashem, the Rebbe is doing well and was released from the hospital on Thursday afternoon. He will continue recuperating at home and will not receive the public in the coming days.
